  1. You retextured Dogmeat IRL! There is a Unique Dogmeat mod: http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/5748//? Not exactly like your dog, though. I guess you could convert the texture files from.dds to an editable format, fiddle with the hue/saturation/colour balance till it's about right, convert them back to .dds and paste them into the unique dogmeat folders.
  2. Ah, I see now. It is hardly intuitive, however. I'd assumed that tracking a mod meant you would be notified if it was changed in some way. I'd like it if tracking was renamed favouriting, fwiw.
  3. I'd like if this was added to the nexus, as I frequently reformat my pc often lose my bookmarks and so lose track of which mods Ive marked as wanting to use. I think it would be useful to have a list, accessable through your nexus profile, of mods that you like and would use/download again. I imagine it would be pretty easy to add a "Favourite" button to the rangeof buttons already available on a mod's page, and/or a note of how many registered users have favourited that mod, as a gauge of its popularity. Is this possible?
  4. Marts Mutant Mod - http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/3211/? More variety of enemies, spawning system, AI and drops. Sydney Follower - http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/9320/? Adds Sydney as a permanent follower, plus expands her options well beyond default followers. Best thing about it is the trouble to which it's creator has gone to give the NPC a memorable personality. Highly recommended. Kerberos Gear _Chinese Heavy Armor - http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/14349/? Armour from the anime Jin-Roh: Wolf Brigade. Very cool. Pipboy readius - http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/12144/? Looks cool. Also removes the pipboy from your character's arm. Robco Certified - http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/712/? You can build robots and use them as followers. Never used it myself, but it looks pretty cool. Japanese Power Armor Set - http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/5757/? Always loved this armour. Cube Experimental - http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/6270//? Excellent quest mod that's practically a full game in itself. Very reminescent of a Valve game such as portal. Also highly recommended. Enclave Commander 090 - http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/1410/? Pure fun. Firefly Ranch - Scary Quest Edition - http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/9420//? Adds a player home plus a quest to go along with it. The quest is the main draw here as the house itself is not particularily interesting. Very atmospheric. There is one very tense moment which is handled excellently. I'd recommend you do the quest without companions. Devoured In Darkness - http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/10361/? Another horror-themed quest. More puzzle-based. You may need to read the comments section of the mod for solutions, as they are not intuitive. Otherwise pretty good. I wouldn't recommend the pucemoose quest mods as they are mostly tedious key-hunts with a lot of note reading, but it's up to you. Alexscorpion_Sniper_Gear_1_2-4362 - http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/12678/? Adds a heavy-duty anti-materiel sniper rifle, the Barrett m82a1, plus a pp-2000 smg, all in various colours. HK PSG1 Sniper Rifle - http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/6100/? The gun Snake used in MGS 1. My fav. I love my sniper rifles. In the same vein.... Artorps Zooming Scoped Weapons - http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/5351/? You can zoom in further than normal. US UK RU Stealth Armors - Non-Replacing - http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/5481/? Some extra camo-pattern stealth armours, with or without separate helmets. Alpha-C-ev Underwater Home - http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/15135/? A very stylish player home inside Rivet City. Can't think of anything else at the moment....
  5. Try using Blackened instead of FOIP. http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/18173
  6. GFWL Disabler: http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/1086 It's not required.
  7. It's the NPC's Race that determines their body type. So that's what you need to be editing, not the NPC's own entry.
  8. http://games.softpedia.com/progDownload/Fallout-3-Mod-Nazi-Outift-Download-54639.html This gives you a retexture of autumn's coat with a SS cap to go with it. Black like you wanted.
  9. Would be great if their textures were animated to display messages on the visors. Not sure if that's possible though.
  10. Some of them have stat bonuses. Night Ghoul Eyes give you night vision, for example. The ones you mentioned though are just trophies to be sold or displayed.
  11. Jill BSAA Armor: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11205 ^^ That's a retexture pack with various options, including all black.
  12. Try typing in console: setstage 14ea3 10 Then go to Vault 101.
  13. Well, I don't know which ones you have so I can't check them can I? Body replacers, you should know, need to be deleted from your meshes/textures folders entirely to be disabled. You still have the originals in your Fallout.bsa file so you needn't worry. When you get replacers, ArchiveInvalidation effectively tells the game to use these newer files instead of their counterparts in the .bsa. Again, does this problem persist when you start a new game? What mods are you using? Which replacers, which skin textures, whatever. List them.
  14. Well that's a new one on me. Are you using any mods that change the appearance of Npcs, or alter the Races? It could be a conflict. Is it only African American that this happens to? When did it start? Does it continue if you start a New Game or is it confined to a particular save? If you mean that you want to copy the values from Asian into African American then FO3Edit is probably the best and only way to do it. I'm not certain of the method, because I've never had to do it, but if it's anything like transfering FaceGen Data for an individual then you'll need to copy the hex values from Asian and paste them into the corresponding entry for Afro. But don't take my word for it.
  15. Well if you load Fallout in Geck and go to Actor Data - Race - African American you can see that in Body Data and Face Data that they use the default textures that the other races use. The difference is in how these are altered by values peculiar to each race. So it's not textures, necessarily. You could try fiddling with the sliders in FaceGen Race but that might screw it up more. It also says there are about 177 NPCs who use that race. If you want to manually change every one of these to Asian then go ahead. Could you take a screenshot of the problem (press Print Screen-SysRq, image will be saved to your Fallout3 folder) and put it up here? Because I'm still not entirely sure what exactly the problem is and a visual example of it would be helpful.
  16. Try reactivating it by pressing the Toggle Invalidation button in FOMM off and then on again. African American race commonly bugs itself like this if it isn't activated properly.
  17. So you want, say Lucas Simms or Bannon, to be Asian? Is it that you're having texture mismatch where the head is one colour and the body/hand/whatever a different colour? In that case try ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=944 If that doesn't help, you may have to edit the values for African American to use the skin textures of Asian. Which will entail creating an .esp. If ArchiveInvalidation doesn't work for you, we can go into that...
  18. I'm sorry but figuring out what you want me to help you with is becoming a trial. What npc race do you want to change to what other race? And why do you want to do it? You have trouble with hand textures? Think before you type. Explain.
  19. Both? There are 4 Playable races. Asian, Caucasian, African American and Hispanic. There are also Old and Child versions of those races. As well as Raider versions. Then there's Ghoul. What do you want to do; make them all the same as... Caucasian?
  20. They're in the BSA files of New Vegas I'd imagine. Use a BSA Unpacker like the one in FOMM to extract them then substitute them into the Fallout directory, taking note of the proper folder structure and activating ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated. Apparently, porting elements of one game made by a particular company to another (near identical) game by the same company is illegal however.... so expect some whining in that direction if you ask for more.
  21. Explain yourself better. You want to change the appearance of one race to match another?
  22. You're not on commission for somebody by any chance, are you?
  23. Texture files come in .dds format. (Direct Draw Surface) You need to get the DDS Converter program off the nexus and use it to convert the texture into a JPEG or something, then open the it in an image-editing program. In addition to hue and saturation you can also adjust the color balance RGB. I use Paint Shop Pro 9 which I'm familiar with and prefer to GIMP or photoshop. Once you're done convert it back to .dds and test it out.
  24. lol thats some wholesome fun right there :) ive tried it EC but theyre so well equiped its allmost a cheat to use them untill later in the game. Yeah, well the game gets boring after level 15 onwards, so you end up faffing about trying out things you didn't do before and having fun. I'm playing it through again as an Evil character and I've been trying to sabotage the Brotherhood to the best of my ability and to the extent that the game will let me. For example, during Take It Back I sent Sarah into the Purifier and she's dead now. During Death From Above, I put on the stealth armour and hung back, shooting the weapons out of the hands of the Knights as they fought the enclave, finishing it off by sending in a missile strike from a vertibird. They still win though! The enclave soldiers must have half the health/armour/DPS/whatever of the Brotherhood soldiers. I'm looking at about a dozen dead Tesla soldiers and maybe one dead Knight. If I'm lucky. It's just unfair. I figure my character is some sort of Enclave spy and lured the Brotherhood into an ambush so Prime could be taken down. And they still don't seem to have figured out it was me, cos I turned up at the Citadel and no ones hostile. So I say f*** it and call down 10 Enclave soldiers with orders to Purge the Area and Take Prisoners. Anybody that couldn't be killed was kneeling before me in a pleasant fashion. Seeing as I've already wiped out the Outcasts, the final bit of mopping up to do is to infiltrate AAFB and call down an Orbital Strike on the Citadel. Only problem I encountered with this mod is that if you summon the transport Vertibird in the area that Prime gets destroyed, the vertibird will instantly blow up as soon as it appears... and will remain blown up even if you summon it again in a different area. I guess you can just reinstall the mod to fix this, but it's irritating.
