So I need Help...

Hey there, I recently just got Fallout 3 for my laptop (just for shits and giggles really), and I was looking for good mods to add to it, but my problem is that there is way too much stuff out there, and obviously some mods conflict with others, etc. etc.

Now I'm not looking for a lot of mods, just some stuff to add to my game experience and expand things a little. However I don't want them to feel like mods, I'd like to have stuff that blend into the game. For example, when it comes to weapons, I'd like weapon mods that really go well with the game. This means the textures are complex and don't stand out (for example I really like the EVE mod), and the weapons aren't over powered. I've already looked into the mod organizer, ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated, and some mods like fellout (not interested in any of the body type mods), but I was wondering if someone could post some mods like the ones I described. No need to post the links, just names.

DC interiors is another one I'm gonna download, and original fallout weapons is mostly great, but some of the weapons don't have enough detail, is there a way to only add some of those weapons to the game? I'm also asking because some of the weapons added by the Original Fallout weapons mod are also added by EVE.

Basic ones are imo Fook2*, Martigens Monster Mod, Wasteland Mood Series(!!), XFO, Busworld, WeaponModKits, StreetLights Wasteland, Sprint Mod. Wouldn´t want to play the game without any of those anymore.

If you have a good PC, the various texture replacers, too.

*don´t know if that´s for you, many modern weapons

Here I posted a list of the mods I curretly have installed (last post):

There are many great mods in there, and like you I´m not interested in body replacers(and all the "cute" or "sexy" stuff for that matter)

Project Beauty is something I've been using from the start.

What it does is improve the faces of various NPCs, but not in a "pretty" way. The raiders in particular look more vicious and brutal. Highly recommended.

HK USP pistols adds 2 pistols, one suppressed, which are more powerful than the 10 mm but not by much. I installed it and quit using it because I preferred the power of my tri-beam.

Looks excellent though.

Tailor Maid adds lots of clothing and alters existing outfits (non-replacing, just adds altered versions in various boxes), some of which I used you can check out in my post in the Fallout Character thread. Very good.

MMM of course; Deathclaw Matriarchs, Gargantuans and Night Ghouls with their glowing eyes are things which should have been in the base game. Night Ghoul Eyes are also consumables which give you temporary night vision. This mod also has lots of plugins which allow you to increase spawns and make the game more of a challenge ...

Note - you might want to steer clear of super mutant areas while using this as it tends to spawn behemoths as regular enemies; I myself encountered 2 behemoths at once near Rockbreakers Last Gas at a low level and had to run. Gargantuans too are difficult at a low level.

If you are looking for quest mods, then CUBE Experimental is absolutely excellent and almost a game in its own right. Very reminiscent of Half-Life 2 and Portal.

Firefly Ranch is another, a very scary quest which rewards you with a luxurious house vault upon completion. Usually I uninstall after completion, this I kept.

Devoured in Darkness, about being captured by a cannibal and enduring drug-induced hallucinations; the logic of some of the puzzles is questionable, but it is still enjoyable nonetheless.

Stealth suit wise:

Reinforced Chinese Stealth suit.

Chinese Stealth Suit Feminized.

US UK RU Stealth Armors (non-replacing) - this allows you to equip camo-patterned stealth suits with or without the helmet. Gaijunes helmetless stealth suit was the basis.

Power Armour wise:

Coyote Reflex Power Armour (I wouldn't recommend this myself, but it is flashy and popular, so check it out).

Japanese Power Armour (buggy, but beautiful).

Pipboy Readius, removes the pipboy in 3rd person and replaces it with a hand-held thingy in 1st person. Looks cool.

Bravo Mod - replaces a male PC's voice with that of Johnny Bravo. Funny.

Female Voice Replacer - excessively feminine. You may find yourself getting distracted by dishonourable thoughts during a firefight ..... The moans and cries are ...... suggestive. ;)

Enclave Commander - does what it says on the tin.

Unique Dogmeat - allows you to change dogmeats texture while not effecting all other dogs in the game. ATM, only german shepard.

Dogmeat Leather Armour also increases his durability a little.

Sydney Follower - converts Sydney who you meet during the Stealing Independence quest into a full companion. Hands down the best companion mod on nexus. Mostly because Sydney has ten times the character and personality of any of the default companions.

Sprint Mod - allows you to sprint while consuming AP. The higher your Agility, the faster you go. Simply and highly satisfying mod. Use it all the time.

That's about all I can think of at the moment. Hope you get something of use out of it ....

It's not new weapons I have a problem with, it's weapons with poor (by which I mean worst then the game's) textures or those which are over powered.

Also, can someone tell me whether it's possible to only extract a few guns from a mod to the game?
