legend cakeboy
Okay i was messin around with Oblivon Construction Set, placing items around Vivelrin right outside the sewers at he begining and it wasn't working so i decided to delete it. But now the CS and Oblivion, even though i have deleted it, seem to think its still there! (Not in game it wasn't working which is why i deleted it!)Can someone somewhere please help! DavidBudreck
Please be very specific. Your description is a little confusing. First you say that it wasn't working so you deleted it, then go on to say that objects are still there. What "wasn't working" in the first place? What exactly do you mean by "deleted it?" Deleted what? If it is "still there" then what wasn't working? If you placed an object into the game, but the object did not appear in game even though you can see it in the CS, then the most likely cause is a mismatch between versions of the CS and game. Start by making sure that your game is patched to the latest version, and that you are using the most recent version of the CS.
Trandoshan
Mhmmm.... My MoonSpeak translation device seems to understand! 1)You deleted the items 'IN' the construction set, and then rebooted the construction set w/ the file that you had made the changes in. When you reloaded it, the items were still there despite the fact that you deleted them in that particular mod file. The only reason this is, is because you failed to save the mod after you had deleted the items. 2) you deleted items that were actually a part of the Oblivion.ESM file, saved it as a mod, and rebooted CS with the Oblivion.ESM, but not with the original mod you deleted the items in. In that case, just click on the modification that you made, and put a check in it. before you press ok, find the button that says 'set as Active' or something like that to set your original mod as the active file. load it up, and your deletions will be there. if this isn't what you were talking about, please calm yourself and type it in non-engrish. legend cakeboy
Sorry for the confusion. what i mean to say is:I added items onto the rendering window in the CS from the object window onto the floor of Vilverin exterior (Tamriel) and saved it as a 'plug-in'. I then went onto oblivion to see if it worked and it did not so i deleted the file from my computer by searching for it. But when i go onto CS and go onto 'Load Master/Plugin Files' screen the file is still listed, and when i go onto oblivion 'Data Files' Screen it is still listed. How do i get it so that it is not listed in either of the 2 screens anymore? DavidBudreck
The only possible explanation for this is that you deleted a different file. The file you need to delete is within the data folder of your Oblivion installation, and will have an extension of ".esp".
