ub3rman123
It said something like "Could not process file BlackLeaves. Conversion failed." Could someone else try to convert the picture of black leaves I posted to .dds and send it to me?
L33Nexus
Do you have the DDS plugin for gimp? [Edit]http://www.mediafire.com/?imhyyyykd1tThe leaves as a .dds

ub3rman123
I still seem to be having problems making the black trees. The leaves refuse to go transparent, leaving me with a bunch of black boxes. Also, the LOD version is still green. How do I fix these?
zprospero
Let me try some things and I'll get back to you in a minute.
L33Nexus
Whatever you are wanting to be transparent your going to have to add an NIAlphaPropertie in Nifskope :P
ub3rman123
It doesn't seem trees work that way. Rather, in the CS, you specify which .dds to use for the texture.
zprospero
The texture itself has an alpha channel that makes it see through. I'm having a terrible time of it. GIMP positively hates these leaf textures I extracted. It's crashed about 20 times in the past several minutes. :(
L33Nexus
I mean you have to add the NI property to the tree in order for the Alpha to work... say you have your tree.nif And there are two bits... The trunk The Leaves you have to add an NI Property to the leaves :P
zprospero
Tree objects don't have .nif files. They have some other weird file format. Here's a shot of the Tree object menu:http://i816.photobucket.com/albums/zz84/zprospero/TreeMenu.jpg It uses a .spt file format. I have no idea what to do with it.
