zprospero
Well, yeah, that was unintentional actually. It's just that there is a blackmarble texture that comes with GIMP, I had layered the patterns and sinceebony doesn't have much red in it, apparently, I desaturated it and it kindof made it look pretty similar to the original marble texture. So, I don't know. I did actually make the new texture, unfortunately making it blackkind of erased all my work, or made it impossible to notice. EDIT: I knew I saw red! Look at the texture for the Ebony cuirass.http://i816.photobucket.com/albums/zz84/zprospero/EbonyCuirass.jpg Maybe black marble does fit it better then? zprospero
But isn't ebony a type of wood?
ub3rman123
Yeah, in real life ebony's wood. But it makes a more awesome armor if it's a black-and-gold metal, so for lore purposes it's a metal.
kieranfoy
But isn't ebony a type of wood?Cool. I get to go lore-freak on you. Yes, IRL ebony is a type of wood, and it just might be that on Nirn also, but in the Elder Scrolls games 'ebony' usually refers to a black metal commanly mined near or in volcanoes.
