Actually, after consideration, I think gold's not really a Nocturnal color. Too bright and sunshiny. Think these two might work better?

Okay, before I begin work on the fortress proper I just need a few questions answered:

1. How big should it be?

2. Where should it be? I've messed up Peryite's realm for the test fortress. I assume a new worldspace is in order?

Looks great. I also like the darker black and blue texture.

 

1. Well, I'm going to make the claim that most of the remainder of the realm is cut off from you,

the fortress will be, like most oblivion planes, surrounded by lava, but I'm (I hope) going to make

a re-texture so the lava is black and purplish and say that it's the essence of shadow, or something

like that (In that book I quoted a girl gets eaten by Nocturnal's shadows) and claim it's like a living

form of tar which dissolves whoever falls in it (basically, it's black lava, but we got to make it sound

better than that).

 

I'll also add in some of Mr_Siika's ravens/crows flying about, unless

you'd like to handle that too, as that's a big thing with Nocturnal.

 

As for the size, I think roughly the size of one of the random oblivion worlds would do,

but (this is just a thought) it would be interesting if it had the scope of Pale Pass, as I could

add in side-quests with caves, maybe ruins, (The castle's been seiged a lot) and other things

for after you break the siege.

 

If Pale Pass seems so big that you just can't work it out, something like OblivionRD001

or the MS13CheydinhalOblivionWorld would probably be about the size for a large fortress

complex, and then I could make cave systems for any side-quests and ruins.

 

One thing is to remember is that it's not that her castle is called Shade Perilous, it's that

her Realm is called Shade Perilous, the entire realm, in some way, is a part of the castle.

If you could make it evoke that in the landscape, it would be a nice bit of atmosphere,

from what I seen I trust your judgment.

 

2. Yes, just make a new worldspace called ROOShadePerilous (The ROO is my naming convention).

As I understand it, Zprospero, Shade perilous IS the name only of Nocturnal's fortress, but no one know's the name of the plane itself.

 

"I went through a teleporter which took me to the part of Nocturnal's realm known as the Shade Perilous." Direct quote from Battlespire. Note 'the part of Nocturnal's realm.'

 

It's not the whole thing.

I'll do some research see what i can find out :yes:

Searched in some other places and still couldn't find any relation to Nocturnals plain beside Shade Perilous.

 

Best bet if nothing is found, just keep it at that it sounds awesome anyway ;),
