Malchik
I have been playing reasonable well until 30 mins ago when I made a save over the previous game. I continued playing but got killed. When I went to reload I found the game had disappeared. And now I can't save. If I press new save it says it was successful but nothing is saved. If I save over an old game the old game save vanishes and nothing replaces it. I notice that the picture in the box when I am about to save is blank. I have not touched the files - has anyone any idea what happened here? If I have to reload the game is there a way of keeping the last couple of saved games? ThetaOrionis01
Can you still save using the console? Are the save games showing up in your saves folder?

Stampede
Argh! That must be so frustrating for you, especially as the games are actually visible in the folder. I'm pretty sure this is a bug in the game that will hopefully be corrected by the patch. I keep MULTIPLE saves to avoid this. Sorry, I know that's not very helpful or comforting to you right now. Malchik
I have multiple saves. I can load any of them. And it appears I can save. I just can't access the save games. It effectively means I can't play the game at all.
Stampede
Have you tried re-installing and trying out your old save games? I've been searching the official forums trying to find a solution for you. One person had a similar situation where they claimed that all their saves were corrupted. No answer for him yet...there have been other save game incidents, but none really similar to yours. Solutions have ranged from just reinstalling, to reinstalling direct X and the game too.
Malchik
I have discovered the games. They are completely out of numerical order so my latest save is about 50 games earlier in the list. This is a relief but how did it happen? Naturally it does not display when I press the load button. I have to scroll down for it. I changed the disk into a different drive and it suddenly seems to be working correctly again. I am mystified!
Stampede
Phew, well while that conundrum is more than likely going to be filed away with Jimmy Hoffa and the question as to who ate my roast beef sandwich at the office, I am just glad you got it working again.
