tnade711
Now yes, I know of moonpath and deserts of elsweyr. But other than that I can't seem to find any other good mods that add the other provinces (specifically cyrodill) other than the currently unreleased beyond skyrim. I remember for oblivion there were a ton of these mods but I can't seem to find any others! So In short what I am saying can anyone suggest me some good mods that add the other provinces of Tamriel? Hallgarth
Beyond Skyrim: Cyrodiil is making Cyrodiil right now. They have a pre-release coming up sometime this summer of Bruma and surrounding area. I think that's as close as anyone's gotten to making an actual province thus far.
Percevan
Yes. And their work on the Highrock province is a bit more discreet - trailer wise at least - but it's also making good progress, IMO. They especially have great looking landscapes.
Hyacathusarullistad
These are the kind of mods that can just be pumped out in a week or so. Creating a new lands mod is a massive undertaking, which is why there's really only a handful of them out there. And they all have their "problems" - Falskaar uses a significantly different narrative method, Wyrmstooth features a few comparatively odd puzzle mechanics, Helgen Reborn has a handful of voice over issues, Moonpath to Elsweyr has some pretty horrible grammar and spelling in its subtitles, etc. Each of these mods were developed by individual people or incredibly small teams though, and thus took a very long time to achieve the final result. Projects like Beyond Skyrim and Skywind are much larger in scope, but are also being worked on by significantly larger teams. So while they may take just as long or longer to produce as the others, we can hopefully expect a slightly higher standard of quality that just can't be expected from the single-developer new land mods. scissorhands
Whats different about the narrative method used in Falskaar? I'm thinking of downloading it, but I want to be sure it'll be playable first (moonpath to elsweyr was unplayably boring).
Hyacathusarullistad
Without giving away too much, the conclusion is rather abrupt and nonsensical and is resolved with what I understand is a very Fallout style ending - a still image montage with a voice over. I personally ended up scrapping an entire playthrough because of it, it bothered me that much - hella immersion shattering. I also found the story itself rather contrite and predictable. The most impressing aspects of Falskaar are technical, and they're incredible. But the creative elements are... acceptable, at best. Just my two cents.
