fertile01
I just got fallout 3 for pc, and I've played the xbox version of it. Whenever I'm in a menu like a shop or something and I try to go into certain categories, it spins through them super fast and if it lands on the one I want and I move the mouse away, it keeps spinning through it even though I'm not clicking on it. Whenever I'm in a long list and I wanna scroll down, I have to click up/down with the arrow keys; if I drag the bar on the side it always shoots straight back to the top when I let go. Same happens when I use the arrows keys and decide to use the mouse. Whenever I'm in VATS, I enter it and immediatly the mouse is scrolling so fast that it almost stays in one place, making a loud noise because it goes through the options so fast. Finally, When I go to third person, I can only zoom out all the way or zoom back to first. This is pissing me off to the point that it's unplayable. I've been trying to figure out a solution for hours and nobody on the internet at the moment has had this problem much less found a solution for it. I installed the unnofficial patch, tried doing a bunch of mouse acceleration fixes, and so on. I can't provide any sort of video of it, but it seems like this guy here has the same problem, although I have no idea what they're doing to fix it. JimboUK
Have you got a joypad installed? if so try removing it.

No extra stuff except another keyboard plugged in and placed on top of the built-in keyboard, becuase the built-in one won't let me press more than 2 buttons at a time. I do know that the keyboard on top of it isn't the problem, because it's positioned so that it isn't pushing anything below.
BlackRampage
The other keyboard you plugged in might still be the reason why your mouse "spazzes" though. If so, it might be an IRQ conflict between your mouse and the extra keyboard. Easy to check by disconnecting your extra keyboard.

I've never had a problem with the keyboard, and I've never had any issues like this in any other game. The problem has something to do with the mouse wheel, in that if I use it even a tiny bit it doesn't stop trying to scroll, whether it be in VATS or a menu or 3rd person. I don't know if that's what people meant by mouse acceleration, but if so then I've done everything to get rid of it.
BlackRampage
Does that include the mouse acceleration fix? If not; Open your FALLOUT.INI located in your my documents/games/fallout3 folder. Find the [controls] section and add these lines: fForegroundMouseAccelBase=0fForegroundMouseAccelTop=0fForegroundMouseBase=0fForegroundMouseMult=

Purr4me
plugin a 3 bottom mouse, a piece of hard ware, a controller ,something to natch the software installed for the game, a laptop is a note book. I have never seen any game outside of touchscreen software, which fallout 3 is not, nor has any, work with out a hardware device. (xinput1_3.dll) is for a mouse, Not a track pad.kitty
