Cant download large files..whaen r u fixing this ?

I have been going through hell lately in trying to download a 100mb DAO mod file..

 

It times out every time & I'm close to giving up in disgust..

 

when will you fix this issue ?

 

to download any file that is over 50mb you have to re-download it about 5-10 times.. :wallbash:

Are you sure it is the site's problem? And not your connection problem? I tried downloading big files from DOA forums and everything's fine. Post the link to the specific file please.

maybe this problem is not effected for premium members..I dont know..

 

but for some of the free members, this problem does happens a lot specially for files larger than 50mb

You might be right, I'm also unsure. I just finished downloading it. No problems at all.

There are 4 file servers for you to choose from; have you tried downloading from all of them?

I just downloaded that file from one of the non premium servers with no problems. From a wifi hot spot and did not have an issue other than slow.

Are you sure its not your internet being slow?

I tried from all the different servers..tried from a different connection (friend) which uses the same ISP..

 

so I think its a problem with the ISP we r using here in Sri Lanka.. :( will check from a different ISP and see if the problem persists

 

anyway another member from here helped me out with the file...thanx man :thumbsup:

My downloads will stop at like 90% so I have to use a download manager (I use Flashget) since my ISP renews my IP every once in a while. If I can downloading when it happens with the default windows downloader it stops the download. Try using a DM.
