Theres this trailer ive been seeing on tv and the game looks so bad ass

 

some barbarian dude sees a beautfil angel like girl taken into an abyss and he jumps in after her kicking all these demons bbutts haha whats the name o the game?

dante? O.o as in devil may cry dante? but the dude was so buff with a giant axe thing or w.e. looks more barbaric then a crusader.

Yeah that's Dante's Inferno. Just saw the ad like 5 minutes ago lol. And no. Not Dante from Devil may cry. The game's loosely based on the first part of Dante's Divine Comedy. More commonly known as Dante's Inferno.

Right, Dante from DMC and this Dante are not the same. I can't remember games with barbarians except Conan :) but it's not the one.

Dante Alighieri is a medieval italian writer (sorry, poet) that wrote the Divine Comedy, among other things. Not only is Dante's Inferno based on it, but Devil May Cry has several elements of it as well. For example Vergil (Vergilius?) is a character of Divine Comedy and real world's poet from Ancient Rome as well.

I've heard that there won't be a PC version...guess EA is getting tired of the swashbucklers. I mean, really ,if you're going to release a brand new game on the PSP, they should release it on PC. Sheesh, they probably spent more money making it for the PSP than they would on the PC.

 

would be impossible anyways, games like this need a controller....unless they lay the dang controls out right, they fail hard at that when they port console games.
