shinra46
An, unfortunatly, widely watched channel that has several splits to it: news: the actual news, takes up 30 minutes. Bill O'reily: a man who is well known for his mental breakdown a few years back where he just started yelling random obsenities, the better part of the editorial section of fox. Glenn Beck: a recovering(aka current) coke addict thay fox picked up off the street to spread propaganda, create fear out of nothing, and lie to the faces of america. Sean Hannity: an overweight man who copies of off Glenn and Bill in the hope it will boost his ratings. fox is known for it's propaganda and it's brainwashing of the good people of america. editing out parts of videos which shows them failing epicly(as in, O'reily vs Stewart) is pretty much thier only strongpoint. and heres the kicker: im a conservative. im just sick and tired of fox news lying to the people of america all the time. they are making me actually like Obama, "at least hes not like fox news" i say. heres another kicker: all of fox's viewers, even the loyal ones, agree that fox is 99% full of crap. i know i pretty much covered everthing that fox is... but for the sake of this thread, Discuss. Vagrant0
Fox is just like MTV. Pretty much everything they show is just plain insulting to the intelligence of their audience. The few decent and practical points they make are lost between the mindless rhetoric of telling people what they think "as Americans" and the constant fear mongering. The sad part is that there are people who actually believe this rubbish, and out of all the news organizations Comedy Central actually seems to be the LEAST biased/misinformed/deceptive. But if you want to bash Fox News for being Fox News, the morning program is a far easier target. So often it's incoherent or just outright wrong enough to make you wonder if it's really just a Saturday Night Live skit of the sort that should be constantly cutting away to "we're experiencing "technical" difficulties" screens every 5 seconds. Granted, early morning television is supposed to be inane chatter but there are many times where it's past the point of being believable that someone (usually that blonde woman) is THAT out of touch/overly medicated and still on the air. Oh, and just keep reminding yourself, Glen Beck is not a reporter or even a political scholar/pundit... He's a "commedian" who just happens to base his "act" on politics and has managed to find work (somehow) within that niche. The sad part is that he knows what he's doing (which is why he's always crying), but keeps doing it so that he still has a job. See kids... If you lie to people you'll just end up like Glen Beck, caught up in your own lie and unable to move beyond it without upsetting those who believed you. tinylewtgriffon
I'm alright with Fox and I actually do listening to Glen Beck sometimes (I actually picked up his book once and laughed). I'm happy being a Conservative
Kendo 2
I watch fox news. I don't watch the 'personalities' but I try to catch it in the middle of the lunch hour when they are actually REPORTING THE NEWS. I have one good thing to say about Fox news. When they do get to it, they will report things the left-leaning main line news will not touch. Obama and his Acorn ties, all the czar appointees that are either center-left or rabid socialist (just like Bush and Obama, yes Bush was center-left), and so on. ABC, CBS and NBC didn't report that stuff. Fox did. The wind is shifting in the U.S. and the polititians on both sides know it. All of the show-boating and antics of Fox has served a purpose. Both democrat AND republican politians had better get their acts together or they may well find themselves out of their phoney-baloney cushy D.C. jobs this year. Recent local and State elections have proven that. I don't like the people on Fox news but they get the job done. Eight years of Bush and now Obama. America needs a freak'n break. My opinion. ..and if you're wondering, I'm not conservative or liberal. Obama is as big of a fat-head hack and a joke as Bush was...and they both suck. Look at their track records. ;) Bush dug our graves and now Obama is shoveling the dirt on top of us.
rebalious
See kids... If you lie to people you'll just end up like Glen Beck, caught up in your own lie and unable to move beyond it without upsetting those who believed you.Is this the revised version of Aesop's Fables'? Because I would buy that book :) Its been some years since I even glanced at Fox News (damn curiosity got the better of me as to how bad it was) and if they have 30mins of news thats a serious improvement. Thankfully over here its hard to see, I guess we do have some quality control afterall.
Balagor
I can not see this in DK, despite our 120 channels. However reading the posts, it doesn´t sound like I´m missing anything. :P
evilneko
Fox News, CNN, MSNBC all present very little news, and way too much Op/Ed. They're really all the same except that Fox News claims to be "fair and balanced" and yet very obviously is slanted heavily to the right. CNN and MSNBC don't really make any claim to fairness at all, and lean to varying degrees to the left. Both play the game of "Oh look we have a token Republican/Democrat" in an attempt to appear unbiased, but I got two names for you: Rachel Maddow and Glenn Beck*. And, I'd name a third from CNN, but I don't really know CNN talking heads too well. I used to love flipping back and forth between Fox Noise and MSNBC, especially going for Olbermann and O'Reilly back to back, but generally skipped CNN... *whoah, evil idea time: put those two together on a show. Talk about your pay-per-view main event!

Or we could could put them in the ring and let them REALLY go at it. Give them 8 pound gloves and headgear and let them pound each other for three rounds. And since we're bursting inflated egos, make Gloria Steinem ring girl.

You cannot be a conservative and like Obama. While I agree that O'Reilly has a bit of a temper, I agree with most of his ideas, at least the ones having to do with politics. Glenn Beck isn't a cocaine addict, there's no reliable source you can possibly give to show that. I agree with almost all of his political ideas. Same goes with Sean Hannity, and why does being overweight matter? You're not a conservative, don't lie about that. Fox News doesn't lie to the people of America. Their NEWS is completely unbiased. I said their NEWS, not their commentators. Oh, and most Fox News viewers watch Fox News because they enjoy it. You're stupid to think that people who always watch a station hate it. That just doesn't make sense. MSNBC, NPR, and to a lesser extent, CNN, are all MUCH more biased than Fox News. http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qa38...11/ai_n9317144/
Kendo 2
@Retribution, have a kudos. Anyone getting their news information from one source is a step away big brotherism, even though AP, NPR and such have a stranglehold what is considered 'news-worthy' and what goes out on their wires. Maybe we foolish and savage Americans can get it together before we start spelling it 'Amerika'. I don't like the 'vision' this current administration has. Obama Youth in yellow jackets. :verymad: We're becoming the Fourth Reich. At least FOX had the nerve to shed light on some of what's going on in D.C. Somewhere between MSNBC, CNN and FOX lies the truth. It's up to us to figure it out for ourselves and do something about it in the ballots IF we don't like it.
