CoD 7 possibly subscription based.

Nope, the only purpose of having a monthly subscription fee would be to try and suck as much profit out of the franchise as possible before it finally collapses.

I never thought of it that way, but that is entirely true. That's the very same thing that happened to Guitar Hero and Tony Hawk's games.

Sure sure the pirates'll still get to play single player, but if multiplayer's the main attraction, requiring a subscription may just be a cunning plan to ensure that even pirates buy the thing.

Don't pay much attention to TF2 do you? There are non-stream options out there... Sure, they're illegal and lower quality, but they don't have those same sorts of restrictions. Nearly every multiplayer server setup, particularly Battlefield, has its share of cracked servers that people can connect to. Once again, this is something which exists to suck more money out of and screw over paying customers and will have absolutely no effect on the illegal side of things.

* - after all, you don't hear about people playing MMOs for very long without a subscription.

Not legally no, and probably not to the same degree of quality, but there are other options out there for those in the know who don't particularly care. What's a few viruses if it lets you play WoW without a subscription?

The loss was due, in large part, to the bottom falling out of the Guitar Hero franchise.

bua hahahah!! I was right lol...I knew it :P They milked it too much and killed it and lost money in the process...ahh I'm a very very happy person right now lol.

nope in a producers eyes you can never over milk a game franchise, make it, love it, reproduce it, milk it, kill it, revive it, milk it some more, create a spin off, milk the spin off, then kill both, and then try to make another revival... rise and repeat

oh and do they fail to realize the amount of customers they will loose because of the console, if someone is playing WoW, they wont want to make another $15 subscription to a milked franchise just because of the name... god i really think that some game companies should be dairy farms

lol ya that's better :P I knew it would fall eventually, didn't figure it would be this soon ahahhaha..I hate Guitar Hero so much >.<

it's so sad, all these companies think this is the best idea ever...when in turn many people will either not purchase their games or resort to other matters to play it. But, there are people that will pay for it no matter what it cost, even if they can't really afford it, and there's enough of them to give them outrageous amounts of money every month. 171.5 million of that 172.5 is going into their pockets, and they are laughing all the way to the bank. It's just really getting out of hand.

My only hope left is Bethesda, really. I'm praying so hard that they don't do what all the other companies are doing :(

It doesnt lag, You just need a better computer.

I agree with you about the game being a POS (probably for different reasons) but I also have to agree with commandercrazy about the lag issue being your computer and possibly your internet connection and router settings.
