SpiderAkira
i downloaded CTaddPose Hentai and CTAddPose Erori from gamerscource, and wen i got to load them it comes up with a error saying "This is not a valid Oblivion plugin or master file" how do i fix it? coz i realy want those 2 mods to workChange the names of the plugins to CTAddPose_DskeroriPose.esp and CTAddPose_2ch_Hentai and it should work fine : )Could you elaborate further? I also have the same problem. Have you renamed the whole esp cuz sometimes it cant read the esp name for some reason. ive done it about 4 times when that error pops up. it will work after that, 99%i.e rename to: hentai addpose and erori addpose
DrakeTheDragon
I copy that. This error message usually comes from invalid characters in filenames. For example, if there's any brackets ("(", ")") in the ESP's filename, you will get this message.Especially with ESPs from foreign sources make sure their filenames don't contain any foreign characters, like Japanese, Kyrillic(sp?) or maybe even fairly unsuspicious letters in just the wrong "encoding". (There's different encodings for blanks and end of line, for example, between different charsets, and I'm pretty convinced Oblivion will only accept 1 of them.) Oblivionaddicted
If you downloaded it in a language that doesn't use the latin alphabet redownload it elsewhere like on NexusMods for example.
archie85
Little late perhaps, but I came back to Oblivion and was having similar problems with a number of mods that had worked fine previously. I (eventually) found that they worked fine, unmodified, provided I extracted them straight into my Oblivion Data folder rather than using OBMM. Clearly OBMM was doing something to them that Oblivion took exception to, but what, I have no idea. Edited July 24, 2017 by archie85
Silverranni
Drake the Dragon you are AWESOME! i know this topic is from 2011 however I kept getting the error message that a mod that I had installed was not a valid oblivion plug in or master . I searched everywhere to find out how to solve this issue. Then I saw your post "This error message usually comes from invalid characters in filenames. For example, if there's any brackets ("(", ")") in the ESP's filename, you will get this message." So I took your advice and changed the name. It worked!!!! You are a life saver....thank you thank you thank you!!!!
