zarker99
Hi I just downloaded the "DMRA stock clothing skimp" mod, but have no ideas how to make it work. I've followed the instructions for installation, except the "Activate" part. Can't work this bit out. What do I need to do? Sorry, this is my first attempt at installing a mod :( Also, do I need any other mod for this one? The instructions seem to hint that I might, but it's not very clear. Any help appreciated. I'm on oblivion v 1.2.0416 Many thanks :)
slygothmog
Are you using the Oblivion Mod Manager? If not and you are doing a manual install then try this link for detailed instructions. http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=21998
zarker99
Yes - I have OBMM, but this mod doesn't seem to be compatible. Thanks for the link, but I failed on step 1. It says use CS v1.2 for shivering isles, and v1.0 for unpatched Oblivion. I don't seem to qualify for either of these, I don't have SI, and my oblivion is patched to 1.2.0416. Now what? Maybe I should just stick to OBMM compatuble mods.
LFact
Some mods do not have plugin. Usually such kind of mods are replacers, all you have to do is install them(manually or using OBMM(OMOD) or Wrye Bash(BAIN)). The game will use installed resources automatically, but sometimes it can fail to read them. I recommend to use 'Archive Invalidation Invalidated', so you don't need to do archive invalidating every time you install/uninstall graphical resource replacers. I just took a look at the DMRA mod you mentioned, you dont need SI and the 1.2.0416. patch is fine, those other patches mentioned are for the CS and you dont really need that application. However you will need a hole bunch of other mods if you want this to work Properly. The HGEC body replacer is a MUST HAVE.the rest are pretty much optional but will enhance the Mod greatly.Lollerich's All Normal Clothes Buyable (This one lets you buy these clothes)Colourwheel's sexy NPC'sMur-zik's sexy walk (I like the optional version)Edhildil's Tanlines modsCoronerras' Maximum Compatibility Skeletons. That last one is a bit tricky to install though if you are new to Mods.
bben46
I have a set of help files for people who are not computer geeks and are new to mods. They include downloading, extracting (unzipping) installing and activating mods. I have included a simple mod to practice on and instructions for installing and using 7-zip. If you are interested, click on the highlighted link below to be taken to the site where they are kept. I recommend starting with #1 and working your way through them. http://s1.zetaboards.com/TheStormRavenLibrary/forum/256092/ If you use them I would appreciate some feedback as to what needs improvement and what works for you. Note that the sample mod uses an esp and shows how to install manually. Once you have the simplest mod I could dream up working.Link to Bben's Mod Advicehttp://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=342.
