AshuraK
Okay, so I made a new character.A Khajiit. Nothing modded. Nothing special. But when I went up to my cell door... the jackass across from me said nothing and did nothing except stand there. What happened? I have mods activated, but none of them change the intro. Is there a way to use the console and start that sequence? Like "startquest mainquest" or something? -Ashura, the Chimera
ZareCograth
One of your mods must have something to do with either the intro, or changing the races. Download the Official Patch for Oblivion, and the Unofficial Patch for Oblivion, and see if that helps. Also some of your mods my require OBSE, so you might want to get it too. Even if they don't mods you might get latter probably will. If none of those fix it, then I'm sorry, but I have no idea after that.
David Brasher
You could systematically deactivate groups of mods until the problem goes away. Then you could systematically reactivate them until the game breaks again to isolate the bad mod.
slygothmog
You need this mod if you start with a custom race. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1815 I think the Unofficial Patch for Oblivion also sorts this problem out, best to get OBSE installed as well. http://obse.silverlock.org/
Yamcakes
I once downloaded a clothing mod that didn't mention that the start by ship mod was part of it, and I had the same issue.I don't like that start. =(
AshuraK
It was the Druid mod I downloaded months ago. I just decided to not become a druid this time around... so problem solved. -Ashura, the Chimera
