There's info about it scattered around in the fade that you can read when you click/inspect certain things. It was so long ago when I played that I don't remember any of it, sorry.

I would have thought the Black City would be further into the Fade...that's what all the mages say

There is no quest in the expansion concerning about the black city as it will take millions of gallons or gigaliters of blood to enter the black city itself. However the fade is shown a couple of times in the expansion. The black city is the only place that is ever seen from the fade no matter where you are but you can never reach it.

That does not stop the developers from adding it in a later expansion, or modders doing it...

That's what I thought, from all the codex entries and lore stuff, seemed like it was a place no mortal would even be able to see. I thought maybe that floating island was like a Boss liar. Thanks for the information :)

Or it could just be a far-off floating piece of rock...just saying.
