Stupid Island

There's a small island ESE from the IC. I've tried every trick I can think of to get over the rock rim and onto the island. There is one point where I can get almost over the edge, but not quite, but I can stand there and hear voices up on the island. HOW DO I GET UP THERE?!?!?!

There is a part of a little walking path that extends under the water, if you approach that way you'll actually end up just walking right up onto the island.

Darkstar Tower adds a house and bridge to said island, IIRC. However, yes, the island is part of Mage guild questline, so be warned.

I suppose it should be mentioned that you'll occasionally run across this same "invisible wall" effect when you reach the edges of the map. You can turn off that wall by making a tiny change in your .ini file, which you'll learn all about soon enough as you start to download lots of mods, many of which will require you to turn off the borders.

 

As for actually reaching that island, look across the water to the east of it to find "Wellspring Cave." That cave opens up on it's other end on that island, but only if you are actively playing the Mage's Guild questline.
