stebbinsd
Elder Scrolls Online ended up bombing. Ok, it wasn't a COMPLETE disaster; it was more like... a dry ice bomb than a nuclear explosion... but it wasn't masterpiece we were expecting. So, can somebody rectify this by making a mod for Skyrim that allows five followers - using AFT - to be controlled by Players 2 thru 6 in a LAN party? That's all the "Elder Scrolls Online" I need. Any chance of that happening?
JangSunHee
Well ... the last time somebody tried to make a multiplayer mod, Bethesda dropped a copyright bomb on them. Although they were trying to make an online version, and not a LAN. You can watch this mod as it develops. It's the closest existing thing to what you want, I believe. Bethesda can't just give players the ability and tools to make whatever mods they desire, and then, just retroactively decide what mods people are allowed to make. They can include certains terms and conditions (e.g. "no child murder mods using our tools"), but there are two caveats to that approach: A) They have to include that at the beginning of when you download the Creation Kit. It cannot be applied retroactively.B) That's contract law, not copyright law, and So tell me... what was the basis for this copyright claim that kept them from being fined out the @$$ because of this rule right here?
