Ghogiel
that'll all depend entirely what exactly the original file format is, obj, mdl. what kind of object it is, rigged, static, weapon, hair. and if it's source engine you'll probably need the game installed and the sdk just to decompile the mesh. It's a rather complicated affair, I doubt anyone is going to walk you through it completely. your first step is to get the object into a 3dpackage- blender, max, maya, xsi, or in a file format which can be imported into one of those formats. imo your best off at least trying to ask the orginal modeller/author to provide his original files, that way you can ensure that the exported mesh will retain all the correct normals and mats, and then it'll look as the author intended. and be a hell of a lot easier. TotallyNotToastyFresh
Very easy. For me anyway. You'll likely need HL:Ep1 installed, download SourceSDK from steam and then get Cannonfodder's MDL decompiler. Actually, if you have a specific weapon in mind, PM the creator asking if it's okay to redistribute it as a Fallout 3 mod, then PM me the skin and I'll do it.
