Thor.
A Kaspersky is the best Anti virus of all time, i haven't had to do a scan since i installed it. Leave it alone and let it do its thing  .It has a real time scan engine that's really good. It picked up at least 4 virus's so far. without me touching it. Balagor
I too have Kaspersky (had it for 5-6 years I think). Never had any troubles. I had before.True what Thor says, leave it alone, and be save.I also have a suspicious idea, that the freware needs to "find" some malware, to makes us by the full versions, e.i. the detected malware is NOT there. Halororor
I use Microsoft Security Essentials. A lot better than most free anti-virus programs out there. Especially Avast 'I delete your files without permission'. :P
Vagrant0
I would suggest either using the Microsoft one, or using Comodo. http://www.comodo.com/home/internet-security/antivirus.php(good antivirus, but the firewall and application scanner can be a bit annoying to work with) Many of those no-name freebie antiviruses are actually viruses themselves, so you should ALWAYS check a few 3rd party site to see what they say about it before downloading. Case in point:http://www.2-spyware.com/remove-security-tool.html In addition to every antivirus, you might want to have a backup program to catch any holes. Malwarebytes has been one of the better ones I've foundhttp://www.malwarebytes.org/Spybot is another good one, but can be a bit too invasive if you use the settings manager along with the application filters from your antivirus. As for kaspersky, While it is good and is one of the least invasive, yet reliable total protection softwares, it's subscription based and since it's one of the most popular for businesses and home users, some malware (like that on facebook) is designed specifically to knock it out. So should never be used on its own if you deal with any of those higher danger sites. The same is true with Comodo, but seems to be less common. Hope some of this helps. Alkser
Have you tried Avira ?
bben46
I have been using the free version of Avira for quite a while now. It is consistently rated one of the best free antivirus programs. Here s a safe place to download it: http://majorgeeks.com/Avira_AntiVir_Personal_-_Free_Antivirus_d955.html The Major Geeks site checks all uploads for malware before allowing them. They also have many other free and trial antivirus programs. And lots of other stuff - updated daily. Check their support forums for a very comprehensive write up on cleaning various viruses, spyware, trojans and other malware.:thumbsup:http://www.majorgeeks.com/
Pronam
I have used paid and beta mcafees and I ever sticked to them. I never had any problems with :). I used to pay it until I realized I can download the beta every year. Except from screwups with the texts in the beginning, I've never been bothered by a single virus. AncientSpaceAeon
Thanks to all ! I've removed my Security Tool problem and going to check all those suggestions (I've checked some). Probably I'm going to check Comodo and Avira. P.S : Is using a few antivirus is a good idea ?
