Morgwynn
I used to play allot of AD&D in my youth and one of my favourite dungeons was the Underdark that could be accessed through a well in a tavern called the Yawning Portal, adventurers would pay a few gold and they would be lowered into the dungeon to explore and loot ancient treasures, fight monsters and avoid traps. The dungeon interior design would change from Nordic crypt style to cobweb filled cellar/prison type and many other styles because many layers of civilizations all built passages in the Underdark over the countless ages. I think the Underdark would be a cool dungeon mod for Skyrim if it was even possible to make I mean in terms of legality that is. I'm not sure how that would work. Darkius6789
I believe it is possible. I would love to see it
trold
I like the idea of huge multilevel dungeon a lot. The closed circuit dungeons of Skyrim always made me go "was that it?", with a few exceptions.I don't see legality being a problem, since you wouldn't have to use the exact title of the original, just the general idea behind it, which isn't that unigue anyway. Morgwynn
Given all the different cultural architectural styles present in Skyrim I think a dungeon like this could be possible but sadly I haven't figured out the Skyrim Creation Kit as well as I would like I can make generic followers and that's about it. I have been watching tutorials on youtube on how to do fairly easy mods but haven't gotten around to trying anything out yet. The Skyrim Creation Kit actually still kind of intimidates me a bit but i'll get the hang of it sometime, however it would be great if someone would make this mod for everyone to enjoy since my modding skills are sorely lacking. harvengure
Possible? Yes. Legal? You could probably use the underdark name but why? The Deep Dark works. Have it be the areas where dwarves and other people had dug down deep, some snow elf ruins, some old vampire ruins (since we know Selena had been buried since before the empire).Doing it -well- is the trick and I would think require multiple modders. Since what you'd be making, I imagine, is a second world space of sorts if not just a series of dungeons (some of which would be huge).
harvengure
It occurred to me, as I wander around entirely lost in Blackreach, one could use Blackreach for this mod. Or at least as a basis on it. I mean look at the sheer space already covered.http://images.uesp.net/b/b0/SR-map-Blackreach-overlay.jpg
RalinDrakus
I had the same thought as I was reading this - why not just add layers under/around Blackreach of similar scale. Problem would be the associated quests with getting into Blackreach and the fact that, if my chronology is correct, the Dwarves are the oldest civilization with architecture present in Skyrim. The proper order I think would be an old Imperial tunnel network, which then taps into an ancient Nord crypt, then perhaps a Vampire lair as mentioned above, Snow Elf or if it has/can be created an Ayleid ruin (for examples: https://images.search.yahoo.com/yhs/search;_ylt=AwrTccWhY8hTYgUA.RIPxQt.;_ylu=X3oDMTBsOXB2YTRjBHNlYwNzYwRjb2xvA2dxMQR2dGlkAw--?_adv_prop=image&fr=yhs-SGMedia-sgm_fb&va=oblivion+ayleid&hspart=SGMedia&hsimp=yhs-sgm_fb ), and then finally a path into Blackreach or a new Dwarven dungeon
notmyhome
Put a few layers of Snow Elf stuff down there, we didn't get nearly enough of that during DG.
harvengure
A Windhelm vault that has been tunneled to or away from. It is the oldest city in Skyrim after all.
Morgwynn
That's the spirit bouncing idea's back and forth. I don't think I've explored Blackreach much in the past do you think this area would be good.? I know the Underdark is also called the Undermountain so the dungeon could begin with a Nordic Crypt built into a mountainside leading deeper into the unknown. http://forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki/Undermountain#Undermountain_.26_Halaster_Blackcloak
