More Thiefs Guilds

Hello all,

 

Again trouble wirth thiefs guild. After my last problem i have completed one task and encounted more or the less the same problem. I've been told to find an orc in skingrad the butler who gives you information about buying a house their. But hes no where to be found, the marker on the maps says i am right next to hime but he is not there what so ever or in the places he goes to during the day. Please help its driving me crazy because again i cant advance in the thiefs guild or even buy a house in skingrad. Thanks

Have you had a look under the bridge leading to Skingrad castle? That's where I found his broken corpse.

 

The poor guy must really hate his job to jump off that!

If you ask in the castle they tell you his schedule. He certainly isn't supposed to die but I have found that NPCs can be killed off unexpectedly especially when Mythic Dawn supporters pop out of the woodwork. I lost the guy making my Nirnroot? potions like that and had to reload. But the Orc steward is not needed for the Thieves Guild AFAIK. And buy a house somewhere else - or are you into property development?

Thanks I'll look under the bridge after i have done this but the marker is telling me he is pretty much under the bridge. I've already looked at the places where he is scheduled at and the correct times but he isn't there either. The marker is pretty much near the bridge to the castle, I am kind of into property development thing and it is the same guy who sells the house who need to talk too about doing the thiefs guild quest. Thanks for your help and anymore would be great on this problem

I've already looked at the places where he is scheduled at and the correct times but he isn't there either. Just wondering, exactly which quest is this? If it is "Lost Histories" you can do it a differnt way if I recall correctly. I just busted into the jail and then contuined on with the quest, however I never did get a prompt to talk with him.

 

I am not sure how you feel about console comands, but it sounds like he was eathier killed somehow or fell though the world. Looking him up in my game, it looks like he IS killable so odds are he was killed somehow and his body is just gone. I had a problem like this eariler in the quest line and had to use a command to skip part of the quest due to killed/stuck npc's.

 

Anyway, here is your work around... open your console and type in "player.placeatme 00028fb6" (without quotes) and that should spawn him at you and allow you to continue.
