Steam and Obse HELP!!!

I have the latest 18 beta installed, I copied the dll and the editor dll along with the steamloader(not the origial exe loader) into common/oblivion, problem is, obse isn't loading, but when I tried out the old method where you just add in the modified obse_loader from valve, it worked but I had the screen go red, was going so slow, and it looked like as if it was splitting my monitor into 4ths(because each corner had 1,2,3,and 4 on it).

So, the old method won't work, so I will have to find a way to make 18 beta work with my steam copy, can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I assume you're having the Steam Oblivion Goty version with the latest patch installed. If you don't have the Goty Steam version you should go to the OBSE Website (Google it). I think 18.6 beta doesn't support Vanilla Oblivion only.

If you're using the Goty Steam version, then there is no need to copy the .exe loader, because the .dlls will start automatically with Oblivion. So you have to start Oblivion just as normal.

That's the only problem, I have the steam deluxe goty version of oblivion that comes with all the dlc, and the steam obse loader doesn't seem to want to load with oblivion when launched...

You need to enable "Steam Community In-Game", check the box in Settings->In-Game.

(And you don't need the obse loader, you just need to put the steam specific dll in the same directory as oblivion.exe along with the other obse dll and it should load when you launch the game through steam).

I'm having a problem with OBSE loader.

I'm using the "Steam" Deluxe Oblivion GOTY version. I've enabled "Steam Community In-Game".

I'm running the game on Maximum settings with 8x anti-aliasing.

Here's the problem I'm having, I downloaded OBSE 20 into the oblivion folder.

I put all the .dll files in the folder as well.

OBSE wouldn't load, so I downloaded the other OBSE file, and replaced it.

http://media.steampowered.com/content/obse_loader.zip

It loaded finally, but when I loaded up... I couldn't see any icons for new, load, ect. at the start screen.

I randomly moved the mouse over and loaded up a game blindly, everything was messed up in game, mostly invisible and/or transparent.

Can anybody help me figure out how to get OBSE 20 to load correctly with the "Steam" Deluxe Oblivion GOTY?

Thank you.

I've run through placing the files exactly where the readme tells me to, no running AA, but it won't even toggle, and i have in-game content checked

I have v0020 and am also still having problems. I've placed the 3 dll's in my Steam/steamapps/common/oblivion folder. The only 2 mods I have downloaded are OSR and Toggleable Quantity Prompt. I've put OSR in the appropriate location within the Data folder and I've put "Toggleable Quantity Prompt.esp" in there & included it through the Data Files interface.

If I try running obse_loader.exe, it says to make sure the "Enable Steam community in game" checkbox is checked (it is) and launch through Steam. Launching through Steam results in a warning message coming up in-game indicating that I need OBSE v0017 or greater. The same thing happens if I try launching from obse_launcher.exe linked from here: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=900993. I'm not sure what else to try. There seem to be people in that topic on the steam forum with the same issue, and I haven't found any working solutions yet. Has anyone else found any other possible solutions? I have the GOTY Deluxe edition and am using Windows 7 64-bit.
