Shoren
1. Did you play KotOR 1 or 2 or did you played both of them? Both completed with good and bad ways 2. In your opinion which was better KotOR 1 or 2? If you played 1 or 2 please tell me.Personally I liked first one and the reason is simple. It had non-destroyed jedi temple (which was destroyed later thought) and it had lighter tone in the story in my opinion. 3. What would you like to change or add into KotOR 2, KotOR 1 or both of them?Nothing really as it had everything I wanted from a game about Star Wars... Well maybe more spaceships to fly with and ability to free flying in the space. 4. Did you play with or without cheats?Without of course. Only wusses use them anyway. 5. Did you use modifications?Didn't use any. Rate this/these game(s) from 1 to 10 and tell reason of your rate. I rate KotOR 1 as 9. It is very great game but bit too linear thought but everything was saved by gameplay, interesting characters and good plot. No game breaking bugs (at least none I noticed). I rate KotOR 2 as 8½. Personally I don't like that much dark plots as they are bit depressing for me but I liked how many interactions were more of grey area unlike in the first one it was clear which choice was good and which evil. Then there are few annoying bugs. Still it is really worth while game to play if you like the first one. And still too linear like the first one. jaysus
kotor 1: best story ever in a game with the ultimate twist imo lol, too linear, too small world kotor 2:good story, improved gameplay options and features, too many bugs and unfinished quests, felt like only half a game, the ending was rather dull and totally medicore in comparision to kotor 1 cheats?no...were there any anyway? mods?some but most were not that great anyway

jaysus
i answered all your questions, just not the way you proposed, however i dont see myself forced to answer them at all anyway lol :teehee: well a walkthrough aint a cheat but i didnt use these either... the two games simply didnt need that @modsnah sry... i tried a whole bunch of them and the item retextures where medicore, the quest mods never finished (at least while i played the games) and most of the other mods where cheats, the only ones i liked where the face mods, those that gave you more options to play as other dudes, however these were not as good as vanilla either...the only ones i used for a whole playthrough were the Kotor1 "start as jedi" and the kotor2 "start with your lightsaber" mods... overload1977
this is so weird i just reinstalled KoToR today lol both games are good, but the first one has the better story, the second one has better force powers and better combat, also kotor2 has better ncp`s, i don't use cheats but i do mod the hell out of it :) also people are still making mods for this game... i have them both on the xbox and pc i love them that much.. if you are a rpg fan they are a must play both of them i will rate both games at 9 out of 10 from me :)

SavageArtistry
I'm not going through the list and answering the questions, but I wanted to mention that in addition to an "unfinished" feeling for KOTOR2, the game is bugged in some ways and may require quite a bit of .ini hacking to prevent mega-super-unplayable lag when you get to Dantooine. Also, it does not support high monitor resolutions. Widescreengamer.com is a site that helps you to edit old games to work on larger monitors. They have a fix for KOTOR 1 but not 2. Also version 2 has some problems that require you to copy a .dll file from KOTOR1 and overwrite a file on 2. After much frustration was I able to get it reinstalled on my upgraded PC with Windows 7, and it still won't run at 1440X900. Overall, Knights of the Old Republic 2 is a huge pain in the neck to troubleshoot.
