Madhacker
I was just <insert excuse for why I was looking through lists of dating sites when I should be doing homework> when I stumbled upon a site called mmodating.com A dating site for gamers! Interested? The sites numbers seem kind of small but if word is sent to the geek and the nerd as well as the gamer...we could be on to something. ;D And please no one yell at me for this placing this in the wrong forum :glare: You know I just wanted it put on the main page
VaanicOne
But I HAVE to yell at you for putting it in the wrong forum, because you DID. It should be in the "Lounge" section - and I imagine it would be quite a good topic if you HAD put it there.
Stampede
Quite so....moving this. I imagine the ratio of women to men on that site must be severely unbalanced.
Switch
And the ratio of women to men pretending to be women. Scary. :P
Baraka
hahahaha!! There are probably more gaming females out there than you think. I am one - but I'm married. I'm sure there are single woman gamers. Where you need to post that link for gamerdating.com is at sites & forums dealing with The Simms, No One Lives Forever, Tomb Raider, Alice, etc. I guess a lot of female oriented games are single player, now that I look at it. As far as guys pretending to be female ... I think guys make female characters for two reasons (although I could be totally wrong not being a guy). One reason is because other males treat a female character differently - go easier on her, I know in some games guys will GIVE you armor, weapons as gifts, there is always dancing for money if your female char is attractive. I think the other reason guys play as females is that they just want to see what its like. They wish to experience the feminine side of life - just in a game - and see how the world treats you. It's a pretty good gig being female, you know. hehehe
Malchik
Oh ho ho! Someone is suggesting it is fun to have those regularly recurring stresses? But you cannot imply an rpg gives an insight into the real differences between men and women? I have to say most men I know wouldn't know which end of a dagger is which, whereas women use them on a daily basis (usually against each other). Men are honourable and chivalrous whereas women are duplicitous and speak in tongues. A man is almost certainly innocent whereas most women assume a man is inevitably guilty. Eh what...? You said I was being paid to be controversial. Oh ..! Too late now!
Mercbird
He he he, you saying men dont have regularly recurring stresses? Er... you get paid for this? I think you meant paid off :P I seem to remember a conversation 'bout paying off moderators with socks...or something... And I agree with Baraka, wouldnt want to be male. Even with the dagger work (for preparing food, of course :D ) I dont really enjoy games as much where I dont have the option of being female, suppose I just dont identify with the character. Not saying that I wont play as male either, just to see what its like, or when your a vampire in Vampire:Bloodlines and only get to seduce females in clubs and suckem dry, the girl on girl action just seems a bit ...well... deliberately geared for male fantasy. What was this topic about, again? Oh ... gamer dating site...er...ok, if you need to find someone who is not going to female dog when youre playing games six hours a night, and wont sit on you're pc to check email and chat...
