HolyOnz
Hi everybody, I've played New Vegas for 20 hours or so. I like it. But I found it disturbing, that there's no visual feedback to gunshots. You see, in a normal game, when you shoot something, you have a way of knowing that you've got your shot; your enemy reacts to the bullet in his belly (think of gta, call of duty, stalker, even in super mario...). In New Vegas, unless you cripple your enemy, he won't react. You can shoot him in the foot, he won't move a single toe; it feels like you're shooting at robocop or schwarzenegger... Even in movies directors ALWAYS show the impact after a shot (you see Bruce Willis shooting and then immediately the impact, usually a bad guy). I feel like visual feedback is very important; it gives you satisfaction when you get a confirmed shot; it tells you if you're aiming well or just spreading bullets around... I find it difficult to tell if I shot or totally missed... I've been looking for a mod that fix it; but i couldn't find it. I'm not a 100% fluent in english, so I might have missed something. I play with project nevada (only). Thanks! Edited July 21, 2014 by HolyOnz

Danny159
He means no one flinches when getting shot. Hmm...Never really noticed that.Though I think I have seen NPC's do that. :\
MarchUntoTorment
They do flinch - it's called a 'stagger' effect, I think, although you'd want to check the GECK - complete with an animation. However, it's not that commonly-played. If you can work out what triggers the animation, it shouldn't be too hard to script.
blaze1514
he says he likes the satisfaction of getting a confirmed hit, what if there were hitmarkers?
MarchUntoTorment
That could be interesting. As much hate as I'll get for this, some CoD-style hitmarkers would be very nice. Edited July 22, 2014 by MarchUntoTorment
