BumblingTree Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 I bet (and hope) someone is going to give me a quick 5 min solution to my problem and make me feel an idiot. But I'm really lost. To minimize my game I use alt-tab and to get back I use the same thing. One time (one of many) I got the double cursor but I fixed this before by just minimizing again and alt-tabbing back into skyrim. A few alt-tabs later it crashed skyrim, (no surprise). But then I loaded skyrim again and loaded my last save and it crashed just after loading. It has done this with every save so far.I don't think mods have anything to do with it because the last mod I installed was a day or two ago, so I doubt there's a connection there. Starting a new game will work but I really don't want to loose all my progress. All and any advice is appreciated, thanks.
Deleted5770650User Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 In the future use One Tweak if you want to alt+tab.I am not sure what to say about the save.
AaronOfMpls Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Alt-tabbing works OK for me, if I open the Steam overlay first. Otherwise, I'll usually get the double-cursor issue.
gamefever Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Yup, One Tweak is going to solve your Alt Tab problem. Your save is likely borked cause you alt tabbed out, which without something like One tweak can cause problems to the game stability which might have borked your fresh save. So their you go.
BumblingTree Posted July 22, 2014 Author Posted July 22, 2014 (edited) Well, this is weird, I downloaded one tweak and the problem didn't fix itself, don't remember when that was. But justyesterday my saves are working again, but nothing I did took any immediate effect. Because I remember it still crashed after I downloaded one tweak. It has really confused me, thanks for the one-tweak advice, now that my saves work again I can alt-tab no problem with it. Thanks everyone. Edited July 22, 2014 by BumblingTree
gamefever Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 The author of One tweak forgot to put all the required files into the latest file. download the original file and update it with the latest file, and presto it works.
