I'm new to skyrim modding, but not new to bethesda games modding in general (I got a successful FNV megamod install so I'm rather used to this kind of operations :smile: ) Right now I have deactivated all mods (uninstalled ENBseries before removing it, though I'm rather sure it wasn't the problem since the game crashed also with ENB uninstalled), and I want to follow the conservative approach, installing only a few mods at a time. Could you please tell me, at first sight, if there are possible conflicting mods in the list? I've tried to be very careful when choosing what to install, avoiding mods that were 100% or also partially not compatible with other mods I was more interested into, but of course I screwed up something and installed a module or plugin that shouldn't have been installed... Xelan255 Posted July 25, 2014 Share Posted July 25, 2014 What's that exactly about the crashes? random or at certain points?If your rig isn't at it's limits yet, replace the HiRes DLC with 2k textures or something similiar, the official dlc is known to cause instability and the textures itself are.. well, resolution? yes? high? not so much :laugh: if the crashes are random, there is a skyrim performance monitor, use it to check if it's a memory issue.Other than that, I see nothing worth mentioning, but I never used many of your mods. Gaspare79 Posted July 25, 2014 Author Share Posted July 25, 2014 (edited) My rig is i7 4700MQ @2.4Ghz8Gb RAMRadeon 8970M 4Gb with catalyst 14.4 WHQL installed (with fix for enduro systems)Win 7 x64 With all the plugins activated, the game crashes right after bethesda logo. If I deactivate everything besides DLCs, unofficial patches, official hi-res textures and SkyUI, I get ingame with no problems. I have also Skyrim HD - 2k textures files, right now not installed. Xelan255 Posted July 25, 2014 Share Posted July 25, 2014 If you have the 2k texture mod, you can and should get rid of the official high res pack.Crashing after the bethesda logo is caused by a missing dependencie, meaning one or more plugins require another to start. Thats checked on startup and if anything is missing, it says "screw you" and kicks you back to your desktop :P look trough your installed plugins with a mod manager of your choice and check if which plugin is required, but missing. So I should uninstall official hi-res texture modules and just stick with 2k texture mod, I probably missed that... Anyway, I prefer to restart everything from scratch and follow STEP directives step by step (pun intended :P). Probably it's the safest way to proceed in order to have a base installation with no stability issues. I'm reading the mod page very carefully right now, if I still have problems after that I'll surely report here :blush: Thanks for the help! Uhm I am surprised that loot didn't give you an error in your log since youhave better quest objectives paathunax dilemma compatability patch without the corresponding mod.
