Endorsements rememberer

It can be useful to have a rememberer to endorse. You should add a new section with the "downloaded files" and a rememberer to view if I have endorsed, abstained or never done actions.

 

I found the window of the "automatic server choice" very useful (now the old method has been restored).

It is better to choose the server manually and ok, but the rememberer was quite useful.

I would say that the reminders need an option to be turned off. If I've downloaded a file and liked the mod, I've endorsed it. But getting endless reminders to endorse mods that I didn't find worthy of endorsement, for whatever reason, is very, very annoying. What's worse is that I'm still getting reminders to endorse files I've already endorsed.

I agree it would be awesome to have a simple "don't notify me again" option. I don't think it would be too hard to implement...

Yup an option to turn endorsement reminders off would be great.

That option already exists in the preferences section.

And the "don't notify me again" option was what "Abstain" was meant for, the second button next to "Endorse" on the reminders.

 

But one thing should be kept in mind here when talking about "Reminders".

There's the actual "Reminder" popups, the rate/time at which they popup, or if ever at all, can be defined in your preferences,

and then there's the popup which previously replaced the server selection part, which is NOT the "Reminders" and which could not be done anything at all about so far.

 

So, whatever it is you're talking about, better make it clear which one of the two you mean, so it won't lead to misunderstandings.

@DrakeTheDragon: I'm speaking about the rememberer (reminder is better) in the server selection part. But I ask for this, because i didn't see the option in preferences section, which is more or less the same thing.

 

So, i'm sorry if i ask, probably i lost some posts......but why did you add the reminder in the server selection?

Then it's bloody well hidden. I dug through all the notification options prior to this post, and again after your post, and see nothing that appears related to endorsement reminders. So if it's there, maybe you could be a little more specific than "it already exists"?

You talking of "Notification Options", which for one has nothing to do with it and for two is not available in the File Site preferences, makes me assume you're trying to turn off a File Site feature in the Forum settings here. It's entirely different platforms, with different settings, separate and independent of each other.

It's right in there under "Global preferences", 6th option from above, "File rating reminder every" and a pulldown serving options "Never" and several different amounts of days.
