TheOriginalEvilD Posted May 3, 2010 Share Posted May 3, 2010 Uhmm..Liberty didn't get hit by a "nuclear strike" lol, he just got hit by an artillery strike (just missiles, not nukes). The same thing gets fired on the air field at the end of the DLC. If that was a NUKE, you wouldn't be able to stand by and watch it get blown up because the blast would kill you. Those missiles where nothing compared to the damage Optimus took throughout his life (through the cartoon series and movies). Optimus would've been knocked down and probably got up and laughed. In the end, Optimus would win based on sheer speed, strength and agility. You can't kill what you can't catch. Liberty is badass but c'mon he can barely walk let alone go toe to toe with Optimus Prime. That's just plain old silly. And for the record, i'm not talking about this new movie Optimus Prime....read up on the original cartoon series or the comics...Optimus was damn near unstoppable. The only reason he ever died in the series was because popularity of the show had slipped and they wanted to replace him with Rodimus Prime because they felt a "hotrod" based leader instead of a semi based leader would be "cooler" and attract more kids to the show. In a lot of those kind of team you'll notice it takes a joint effort to beat the bad guy. If Optimus was created to be a BAD A** loner, he would kick the crap out of Liberty Prime. His movement seem more human then robotic, giving him the ability to dodge things better and he's so much faster that all he would have to do is run up and pull him to pieces. If they're nukes then where is the radiation after the blast? You can run right up to Liberty as he's crawling across the ground, and run right up to the building with the hole in it, and there's no radiation. Even if Bethesda or whoever SAYS this was a nuclear strike, it sure wasn't in the game and if it was it was a piss poor one because even the Fatman leaves radiation behind.
