Deleted288985User
I've wanted to try a pacifist Doctor playthrough for quite a while now, and I'm pretty sure about my build. But I'm having trouble deciding what to actually do as a doctor. Helping random people using the Medicine checks are obviously going to be a big part of it. I've also thought about scavenging for medical supplies (surgical tubing, different chems, etc.) and selling/giving them to people that need them. This will keep me busy for a little while, but what do I do when I'm done? Any ideas for what a Doctor playthrough should consist of? Any mods out there that might be of help? Usually I'd just brush the whole idea aside if it weren't too viable, but I've wanted to roleplay this character for ages now and just cannot seem to let it go. Any ideas are most welcome. CovertBandit
I simply searched "Doctor" and I found a few neat mods you could use for your playthrough. The clothing mods are definitely cool but not as game changing as something like this. The doctor of the wastes mod I think would be awesome to roleplay a character like that since it would provide something for you to actually work toward gameplay wise. As far as interacting with others goes, I suppose your playthrough would be generally good karma and if you want to fit the pacifist role I would make a sort of science/speach hybrid build, though if you have a build already decided then that's great. Other than that, dress yourself as a doc with any lab coats you find and fill your home (wherever it may be) with doctor type belongings. I don't play roleplay builds a ton but a friend of mine does and I'm always interested in what he does/thinks, so maybe I can dig some other stuff up for you and report back later.
vforvic
Interesting idea. If I was modding this I would make it part of a larger Hospital Quest. Make the whole thing about trying to get a real wasteland hospital going. Either using the current hospital or a new building...probably a new building just in case of conflicts. Acquire the building, find supplies and equipment, recruit Doctors and staff. Then of course recruit protection. I could see it becoming a nice series of Quests. Feng Shui could be used to adjust the hospital to your liking. In your case I guess you could still use Feng Shui to adjust a modded or vanilla building to look more like a medical facility. Perhaps make a series of Clinics in the wasteland and 1 central Clinic which could be your player home. Use a decent current player home mode as your baseline. I would use 1 of the tranquilizer gun mods out there as my main weapon. The upcoming version of my mod Merc 2 even has one. You could also use 1 of the Companion Recruit Mods like Companion Share & Recruit, Sharing and Caring Companions or RR Companions Vault also has a similar system. Do a search for "Companions" and "Recruit" to see what pops up. Your recruits could be to "staff" the Clinics or be your bodyguards and security. Deleted288985User
Good job finding those mod gems, Covert! It's a wonder the Wasteland Doctor mod isn't more popular, seeing as you can revive NPCs. We're off to a good start, I think. If you could indeed dig up some more stuff along the way, I'd obviously appreciate it greatly. :) Interesting idea. If I was modding this I would make it part of a larger Hospital Quest. Seeing as how popular the doctor build is, I bet people would go crazy over something like that.

FrankoHorrigan1
i roleplay heaps in Fallout :3 i've replayed fallout 3 on the PC probably about 20 times and NV 15. atm on Fallout 3, i'm roleplaying as a terminator (thanks to the "cybenetic dawn" mod who is the successor to Colonel Autumn from 2286 onwards. i just started the game from a downloaded save with the main quest and Broken Steel complete. he wears the typical Enclave Colonel's overcoat and Abe Lincoln's hat and he is a chain smoker  He hates raiders with a passion, due to his past history with them when he was still a human, but doesn't have a problem with mutants in general, as long as they don't cause a problem for the local population. thanks to the glorious modder nation, i have complete access to Raven Rock (although it belongs to me now, because i took the liberty of disabling the President as he was no longer needed) and i even have my own Enclave Airship. i'm aiming to completely reclaim the wasteland and then get mods to add more towns and wastelanders, so the wasteland has more life. Instead of following the original Enclave plot to lay the muties to waste, i've roleplayed that my character has completely refaced the Enclave and started recruiting and training wastelanders and even settled the conflict with the Brotherhood of Steel and formed an alliance. his name is simply "The Colonel" :3 and he has two terminator bodyguards who are members of the Secret Service
GamerChas
What do you mean by a Pacifist Doctor? You are still going to kill mutants and raiders, correct? Otherwise, how do you level up or go anywhere? I can't picture what you mean.
