uedftus
Uh...I don't care, it's up to you... If you don't care then I won't. I will continue to work on the series... periodic updates to follow. Best way to find new models I've finished is to check my website.
uedftus
Screwing around with some character models, trying to get my flow right. I see a lot of things I need to redo on the blade series, lots of optimizations I can do. This might take a while.
uedftus
Character model 1 Working on updates to him, he's far from finished. Texture unlikely, he's just for character modeling practice. http://cahemdue.net/images/CharacterNew1_0.gifhttp://cahemdue.net/images/CharacterNew1_1.gifhttp://cahemdue.net/images/CharacterNew1_2.gifhttp://cahemdue.net/images/CharacterNew1_3.gifhttp://cahemdue.net/images/CharacterNew1_4.gifhttp://cahemdue.net/images/CharacterNew1_5Based.gif
LHammonds
When it comes to animating that model, you might have issues around the joints where it won't bend well and the textures will get stretched quite a bit. uedftus
I am not texturing or animating it. Why would you think I would animate it if I wasn't going to texture it? More progress shots on the way.
LHammonds
I was assuming that practice also meant training to improve your modeling skills...at least in terms of usable models for games since this is located in the Oblivion modifications section. LHammonds
einarhasbeentaken
Some very nice swords here, I do appreciate a good looking sword, though my request is of a somewhat different nature. I have a request I've been thinking on for some time now, I'ts basically a shield and dagger/sword disguised as wristguards/gauntlets. The original thought was just the shield part, but then I thought it would be nice to have a matching weapon for the other hand. Good old Shredder from Turtles sprang to mind :P Shredder posehttp://mcaaron.files.wordpress.com/2009/12/shredder1.jpg Another Shredder posehttp://www.freewebs.com/naruto-tmnt-fan/shredder_02.jpg Karai in Shredder armor (female shredder)http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3207/2423263457_d849c1a47b.jpg?v=0 Ebony armorhttp://waiting4oblivion.com/images/screenshots/obx21B.jpg Shredder appears to favor his left hand for attacks though, based on the claw placement. While Oblivion chars use the right hand, so the claws would have to go on the right hand gauntlet (or on both). The Ebony Gloves look somewhat similar to what I'm after, so I included them as well (though I'm sure you have an idea what they look like anyway) just missing the blades. The protection for the knuckles, fingers and palms would preferably not be there (but the plate covering the back of the hands would be a great spot to mount the claws). Doesen't have to be a copy of the Shredder ones, but you get the idea. If you want to have a go at modeling these items it would be great :) I wish I could make these myself, but I have no clue on modding, trying to find some time to learn it :( I imagine implementing these as a complete mod would pose a few challenges though, like forcing them to stay on your arms whenever you leave combat mode... It would look silly to have one on your back and one hanging from your belt. Clipping with armor pieces for the same areas would also cause a problem for some people I guess, though I don't intend to wear them with armor (except maybe the backup solution) A backup solution could be to keep the items as armor and put a fortify hand-to-hand and a block/resist xxx enchantment on them to mimick the weapon/shield combo... If anyone has any suggestions I'd be happy to hear them. Edited April 22, 2010 by einarhasbeentaken
