xxcytedgamer
Ok guys I know this is a question thats already been answered, but please have patience with me. in my dat file there are 3 folders, music, shader and video below that there are all the bsa and esm files for the pit and anchorage u know the ones with the white boxes in front. If I did that part correct then all I want to know is HOW DO I START THE FREAKING ADD ON  sry just a moment there. It might help to know that i origanally bought the game but subsequently lost the disk so i got 1 from PB and now it seems that some how they have intergrated int each other...still with me? but thats not the real problem I just want to play the addons I got from PB. oh, oh and how do I update to the latest version, I got the latest patch from the betesda site and it says that it installed correctly, but how can i tell. I have betten this game a couple of times and I am at lvl20 for a while and just want some more enjoyment out of it.I live in laurel,md which is on the outskirts of the wastland so I am a scavenger by association please help also I keep getting an erroe message"could not find fo3 directoryfo3 entry missing or incorrect. Install fomm into base directory instead' - I have no idea what that means, yes this will take awhile :ermm: :ermm:

Burnagirl
I hope I'm understanding your Q . If you've installed the Add-ons - the "white boxes" with the add-ons should be ticked, if not then tick them. You start the add-ons (Oeration Anchorage, the Pitt) by opening your pipboy and choosing the "DATA Tab - then click "Quests" - (the Add-ons are "Quests") then check your map and see where the flashing light is telling you to go to get the "Add-on" started.By the sounds of things, you've installed them fine. The reason for answering your question this way is because I think you're expecting to click something to get the "Add-on" started but it doesnt work like that, you have to go somewhere to get the thing started. How can you tell whether you've correctly installed the patch 1.7 (the update) ?Open your Bethesda Softworks - Fallout 3 - Data file .... look for the heading "Application", it if you see "Fallout 3 1.7 " there then you've installed it. How can you get more enjoyment out of it ?If you want the game to be harder, then start the game - go to "Settings" - "Gameplay" - "Difficulty" and then choose your poison.Or you can get all the DLC's or add a couple of mods onto the game. I dont understand your "error message" with FOMM. Hope this helps
Skotte
I keep getting an erroe message"could not find fo3 directoryfo3 entry missing or incorrect. Install fomm into base directory instead' - I have no idea what that means, yes this will take awhile :ermm: :ermm: that sounds like Fomm wasn't installed to the same location that FO3 was installed to.Please try reinstalling FOMM

Does "PB" stand for "pirate bay?" If so, there's your problem right there: trying to get pirated software to work properly. The best solution for your problem is to find your original disc and buy the DLC.
Burnagirl
If the Moderators here discover that you're using "pirate software", (and I apologise most profuesly if you're not), then I promise you that as sure as God made little green apples you're going to be BANNED faster than you can blink !!!!This is a strictly non-pirate software promoting or tolerating site - I've just purchased Metro 2033 and already some nut out there has already stolen my CD Key before I even installed the game - so I'm not so thrilled about piracy eitherno matter it's shape or form or whatever the reason may be behind it. Once again, sorry if I've been just a bit over the top.
