JAW959
So I honestly can't stand screwing around with blender, I hate the interface and having to screw with python, does anybody know any other good free programs like blender with .nif capabilities? SickleYield
3ds Max and Maya are both supported by NIF script versions. They're not free, of course. That's Blender's major advantage vs. other full 3d suites.
theRoadstroker
Gmax is free Gmax is pretty much the old 3Ds Max but without the render engine & other useful stuff. Not sure how good it is to handle Nif tools but: What you can do is - you can do all the modelling work in Max and once you're done , you could just export (or Import) it to blender and then just use the nif tools in blender to make it in to Oblivion. You can download Gmax here: http://www.turbosquid.com/gmax
LHammonds
I hate the (Blender) interfaceYou might want to give Blender another try after they release the next version which includes an overhaul of the interface. and having to screw with pythonThere should be no "screwing" with Python. Have you tried downloading one of the Blender packages I have uploaded at TESNexus and followed my step-by-step install instructions? good free programs like blenderNope, it is kind of an anomaly. Although I do have a few free 3D modeling programs uploaded right here on TESNexus....GMAX, Milkshape 3D and ModTool. with .nif capabilities?Nope. Blender, 3dsmax and Maya I think are the only ones.
