Annoying black eyes..!

I'm thinking the same, but it seems a bit extreme just to get some eye colour, it doesn't make sense that the lip/cheeks etc colours all work and not the eyes, perhaps someone more knowledgeable about programming can explain why this should be.

I wonder if we could use the toolset and change the eye colours with that? I've no idea how, but I've already downloaded Winter forge and need to download the toolset, next would be learning how the heck they work

I also found a couple of nights ago that the persistent gore option doesn't work either

One things for sure if I do upgrade I am going to be mightily miffed if the eyes still don't work and it turns out to be a game thing :verymad:

Caught this thread and I have a question. I have a higher end computer, patched all the way up, use PT's Vibrant Colors and have none of the problems described here, so I think this is a hardware issue. If you could give me specs on your graphics cards, reslution you are running at, texture detail you are running I think I can nail down a pattern. If you are curious what I have for graphics, running at 1440X900 using a nvidia GeForce GTX 260M with 1gb visual mem. The computer istelf has an Intel Dual Core 2 processor, 6 gigs RAM, and 500 gig hd with Windows 7.. I have a feeling that from what I am reading most have a graphics card running at or near minumum requirements for the game which could be the root of the problem you are seeing.

I've just stumbled on this mod and thought it looked promising http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1080 just about to download it and have a good read, thought you might like to take a look as well.

Thanks hun!!

Have you tried it yet? Did it work? *curious* O.O

No it didn't work  I also disabled everything possible in the options and still nothing, so I've admitted defeat.

I posted a thread here asking about upgrading my PC. My biggest hang up is I don't want to go to Win7, but it looks as if I'm going to have to to get what I want, this is what DH has come up with as of yesterday, he is just waiting for me to say yay or nay.

Asus Motherboard Crosshair IV Formula

Zalman CNPS10X Extreme CPU Cooler

Asus ATI Radeon HD 5870

AMD Phenom 11 x 6 1090T

OCZ memory 4GB x 2

ell46,

that should do the trick. As for Window's 7, it's what Vista promised to be but did not deliver. I like it a lot, and it's usability is a lot like the XP pro that I had on my old computer. Everyone I have talked to that made the switch to 7 likes it like I do. I imagine you will be pleasantly surrprised unless you are somone who hates MS in the first place. ( I have a friend from college that hates them and everything the do)

A lot of my crafter friends seem to be having problems with it, they hate the email thing I believe it's called Windows Live? then there is the software that they have had to replace, new drivers, waiting for new drivers, it all sounds too ugh! for me and it's the principle it feels like MS do this every year just to force people into spending yet more money. We did look at upgrading and keeping XP, but it seems the way games are going I could have to upgrade again in 12 months or so and I don't think I could go through all that again. I worry so much about loosing files etc when we upgrade and reinstalling software is mind numbingly boring, then getting all the settings right and to think I only cloned my hard drive a while ago thinking if I had a crash I could be up and running again in a couple of hours and loose nothing

This had better be worth it  .

I had the same problem.........what I did was take all of the eye tint files ("pt_eye_cam.tnt" for example) out of the subfiles and put them into the main override file and PROBLEM SOLVED.....all the eye colors work fine now.

Do you mean the Override folder in My Documents or the one in the DAO game? I don't suppose you know where the party characters get their eye colours from do you, as they all have black eyes, in fact everyone in the game has black eyes except for the characters that have animal eyes like Morrigan and Sten?
