New to modding Fallout New Vegas

I modded the s#*! out of skyrim but it was easy because I could download every single mod via NMM in a matter of seconds, my experience with modding older bethesda games is that it's not as simple. I've gathered a list of mods that I think will be good to use to start off (never played. Will start fresh) with. What i want to know is if my computer can run all these mods and if I there are any mods on this list that will conflict with others, and if there are any that you reccomend I use that aren't on the list or any that shouldn't be.

Computer stats:

Mods I'm thinking about using:

Nevada skies

Unlimited companions

Dynamo enb

Nmc textures

Wasteland flora overhaul

Eve visual enhancements

Stutter remover

Cesar's new regime

Archive invalidation

Beware of girl type 3

Desert Succubus

New vegas bounties 1

Breezes new vegas males

Shogo Heavy Industries

4 gb new vegas

Better Searchlight airport

Monster mod (not steam)

Electro city

Factions Reloaded - raiders

Willow follower

Jasmine pretty save

Neck seam chains

Kristina's closet

NCR Rearmament

Authentic burned man

Yoko littner Veronica replacement

Mojave brotherhood patrols

Cinematic anamorphic flare for enb

Npc project - 188 trading posts

Perk every level

Populated casinos

MCM

Also what is easiest way to apply mods? Could I still use NMM, would I use FOMM, or manual install files?

This s not an instant message chat - it is a forum. And most members are not present 24/7 so you may have to be a bit more patient to get answers.

We do read all of the new posts daily. So bumping to keep your post on top does not get it read any sooner.

Bumping is not allowed - and could get you a time out ( temporary ban) Bypassing a time out by creating a new account is an instant and permanent ban. Please read the terms of service as they are not the same as most sites.

NMM can be used to install as well as download mods

FOMM works to install mods also - I don't recommend using them both at the same time for installing though.

Not all mods will be compatible with all other mods

Some mods WILL require something else - such as another mod or NVSE to work.

NMM does NOT set proper load order - I recommend LOOT for that. It will also help find some ( but not all ) incompatible mods.

NVSE: http://nvse.silverlock.org/

Thx but do you know if my computer would work using these mods? Also do you know of any mods I should use that aren't on the list or are there any that I shouldn't use on first play through? Sorry about the bumping, the first 2 comments were serious but that last one was bad.

well your pc is about twice as good as mine is and I'm running more mods in my current game then you are without any major issues so you should be fine.

for installing you might want to check each mods description as they usually come with an installation section but "most" seem to be ok for NMM these days.

oh and definately check the install help for 4GB and NVSE as they work differently and need manual install kind of like SKSE does.

enjoy :D

If your machine runs skyrim fully loaded with mods then it 'should' run FNV without any problems. I haven't used all of the mods on your list but I can see somewhere you may need to take care;

Beware of girl type 3
Desert Succubus

Willow follower
Jasmine pretty save

Yoko littner Veronica replacement

Are all going to either do stuff to the the fem body, or require things of it. Except Willow who I pretty sure is self-contained but then you want to do the stuff like Kristina's closet... Not saying you can't do it or even that it will definitely cause problems but you may have to jiggle the load order around to get all those things to run smoothly together or use BOSS to sort it all out. But a machine like yours with the G4.exe should fly!

And mods? "Guns, lots of guns"

personally I'm not hugely sold on needing a heap of more guns. especially some of the WW2 style mods but if that's your thing go for it.

mods I would suggest are

Weapon Mods Expanded - adds more modding options for weapons including melee/unarmed

CalibreX - adds extra ammo types for some weapons including recipes to craft em

Weapon Mod Menu - lets you add and take weapons mods on and off weapons aswell as lets you see what mods can go onto weapons. very useful with WMX installed.

RobCo Certified - who doesn't want to make fire hydrant robots :D

Vault 22 flora overhaul - personally think it's one of the coolest remake mods very well done.

Roleplayers Alternate Start - maybe not for first run through but after a while it's nice to be able to start somewere other then goodsprings

Shovels R Dum - I hate having to go and try to find a shovel just to dig up a grave.
