  1. Thinking of doing a build where its mainly focused around archery and sneak but also use alot of conjuration to keep my enemies off of me, especially in dungeons etc. What race should i use? Was thinking about being a breton so I get the conjuration boost but still can use a bow, but bosmer and khajiit could also be good. I'm using imperious, ordinator, and scoped bows (mainly for the ini tweaks), any other mod suggestions for this build?
  2. thx :) will check out nock to tip
  3. Want to make a khajit sniper, archery will be primary for sure but also will want to upgrade conjuration too so whenever i cant kill all of my enemies from a distance theyll give me some more time. Thinking about using scoped bows, imperius or character creation overhaul, and some of other archery mods. Any suggestions? I'm ok with mods like unlimited night vision (ill be using it), just want it to be a fun playthrough EDIT: what about ordinator?
  4. Been a skyrim player, haven't played a fallout b4 but I'm about to start it. Was wondering how to have a Rey from Star Wars kinda build/class (idk what you call it for fallout). Not the Jedi Rey like cause you can't use the force in fallout (far as I know), I know there's light sabers but it'd be kinda pointless using a lightsaber without having the force to go with it. I want a Rey scavenger build. She used a two handed staff and was very good with a blaster. Based on what we saw from her in the movie (considering most of you have seen it), how would you suggest I go about this?
  5. This would be so cool. If someone could please make a Daisy Ridley/Rey character face preset or follower I'd donate $ lol or whatever needs to be done to make it happen
  6. This would be unreal! Plz somebody make this, I'm a huge fan of Daisy Ridley and Star Wars and this would be a great mod. I'm willing to do whatever I can to help too
  7. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/HkrrK8 Anyone know a better case to get? I want to be able to make future upgrades, does this allow me to do this well? And any other suggestions on this b4 I order it?
  8. The updated build includes 1TB SSD. Yea thanks, I posted the newest updated build in my previous post. See any other ways I could save money or any place I could improve? Also do I really need a $100 case?
  9. You don't need 32gb of ram unless you are planning on using it as ram disk or use proffesional programs for rendering. 16gb is max amount you will ever need. Get 2 sticks 8gb each - you will have more space around cpu cooler (high profile ram won't fit under noctua cooler in first two slots). Make sure your motherboard supports swapping ram placement in slots or you will have a problem there. Save some money for a nice monitor. Evga has great return policy and I had no problems with refund for gpu still on guarantee. That said this time around I went with MSI gaming gtx 980ti. It has a better cooling solution (passive cooling with fans turned off when you don't run graphicly intensive applications) and it had the least problems with coil whine from all avaible models at that time. I was considering either MSI Gaming or Evga Hybrid, since quiet build was my prority. You should check benchmarks and see which gpu brand suits you better. Be sure to read reviews on your motherboard specifications. With some gaming models you can skip sound card and fan controller, since they already provide decent inbuild alternative. Besides it's better to have less PCIe slots populated for better airflow in your pc case. Consider getting SSD for starters. It's silent and does not use much energy, hence you won't have to worry much about positioning it in your pc case to keep the temperatures low. Samsung EVO SSD series are durable and affordable. Ask yourself, if you really need DVD writer. Nowadays you can download anything and save on pendrive / usb drive. I just have 1 external usb DVD writer at home for all household devices and almost never use it. CD/DVD reader slot in your pc case can be transformed into DSS/hard drive slot with an inexpensive plastic mount adapter. Ok I changed my specs to match some of the things you said:Processor: Intel core i7 6700k 4.0ghz quad-core processor Cpu cooler: noctua nh-d15 82.5 cfm Motherboard: MSI Z170a gaming m7 atx lga1151 Memory: corsair domination platinum 16gb (2x8gb) ddr4 3000 Storage: western digital velociraptor 1tb 3.5" 10000rpm internal hard drive Video card: MSI GeForce GTX 980 ti 6gb Case: corsair 750d atx full tower Power supply: EVGA Supernova 1000 p2 1000w 80+ platinum certified fully modular ATX power supply Operating system: windows 10 Home OEM 64bit Case Fan: corsair air series SP120 quiet edition (2-pack) 37.9 cfm 120mm fans Does this look like a "great" setup? I really want to have a computer that can run skyrim (and fallout 4 when it comes out) on basically any enb/graphics mods with tons of other mods with decent gameplay/fps/etc and be able to render videos with adobe after affects as I will be editing my COD Xbox one videos on it. But that's basically all I will do on it besides live streaming some too. Is there any changes I could make to make it better for basically the same price or even if it's a little bit more I can jump for it, I just want to have a great setup for less than 3k (excluding monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc). And I took out the fan controller and the DVD thing as it did seem pointless Looks very good to me, but you should switch out the WD Velociraptor for a 7500RPM 1TB, plus at least a 240GB SSD. The gains are, frankly, night-and-day.I have a 1tb Samsung 850 SSD on there and I took off the WD.http://pcpartpicker.com/p/HkrrK8 Anything else?
  10. Ok about to ask for Christmas. I already have a monitor. See anywhere I could spend less or anywhere I need more? I'll be editing 1080p 60fps videos on after effects and I want to play skyrim with great mods like elder blood enb and tons of mods, and fallout too once they get good mods. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/YwZfwP
  11. Windsong removes the wrinkles. I know but what I want is to just look normal while I'm just walking around but when I'm fighting or feeding to be all wrinkly vampire like in buffy
  12. Me too I'm tired of having to either look normal or all wrinkled up vampire all the time
  13. Sorry, but what was the point of this post again? How much fps you have entirely depends on your mod+enb combo. I could run skyrim at 60-90fps (but had to cap it to 60 to prevent skyrim bugging out) with enb on my old 780ti... The engine has issues when you go above 60fps, not slightly below (35+fps). Most ppl arrive to wrong conclusion and don't take into account that besides strong gpu you also need horsepower cpu. High end enbs can increase your script latency by 20ms or more. Besides that if your gpu can't handle the graphics, it will slow down whole system and bug scripts. When putting together mod list you should aim at sub 100ms script latency. I just need at least 30. As I used to play a ton on the 360 I kinda got used to it. Anyways, thanks for the help everybody, I'll be back in a couple months.
  14. Pretty much. Put two Fractal case fans in the front, Corsair 140mm at the back as exhaust and 120mm next to your psu as intake. In normal conditions average user will need just a good stable PSU (Power Supply Unit) and tested surge protected outlet with circut breaker designed for electronics, plus home electric installation and grounding in good condition. UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) is mostly used for servers and districts where power blackouts are common. UPS will supply power to your device for short period of time, letting you turn it off manually. You would need UPS providing watt amount qual to your pc + monitor watt usage or higher. Those are not cheap. Ok I got a 140m and a 120m, so I need two more "fractal" fans?
  15. I would choose windowless pc case for build with noctua cpu cooler (it does not look as good as watercooler with pump and pipes). You could go for silent pc case and reduce sound while recording. Fractal has some nice cases with sound dampening material. The temperatures are fairly similar to those inside more open cases. I also dig the design, the case looks more like a simple piece of modern furniture and is nice in touch. It's a bit cheaper than Corsair 750D and you shouldn't have problems with finding it in your local store. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRZIdbdcIiU http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=Fractal+Design+DEFINE+R5&N=-1&isNodeId=1 http://www.fractal-design.com/home/product/cases/define-series/define-r5-black Avaible in 3 colors. Super cheap version without unnecessary drive cages. You might need to put small pieces of tape or furniture stickers under the rubber feet - might leave marks on white floors, other models did not have issue with this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CaU72f0hMVo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811352054&cm_re=Fractal_Design_Define_S-_-11-352-054-_-Product http://www.fractal-design.com/home/product/cases/define-series/define-s Even though both are mid atx cases, they support cpu coolers up to 180mm. If you want to install fan on the bottom of the case (most recommended), you need to get one 120mm fan since your power supply is quite long (180mm). When taking into account that 2x140mm fans are included for free with the case, you would need to buy 1x120mm + 1x140mm for most basic setup. Ok I changed the case, thanks. And what about the fan? So I buy one 120mm along with my 140mm?
  16. You could wait, but at this point it is a huge gamble, since there weren't yet any leaked informations from manufacturers (I knew of 980ti specs 6 months ahead). Things to consider: 1.The first HBM2 nvidia card might belong to Quadro line for professionals (since it focuses on computing power) and cost couple thousands. 2.The new product will be gp100 and feature smaller size (sub 20nm vs 28nm we have now). It would make sense for nvidia and amd to release smaller, less powerfull card for mini atx size builds before anything else. Amd already showed off their Nano card. http://www.extremetech.com/extreme/213886-amd-r9-nano-review-stellar-performance-in-a-pint-sized-graphics-card (in this test Nano competes against the least powerfull 980ti model -basic nvidia cooling solution and stock clocks) 3.Usual difference in raw power when the new generation is introduced does not exceed 10-15% (it's conterproductive for companies to go all out right of the bat - they make more money by releasing new models each few months). 4.The main advantage of HBM2 is less choppy gameplay at 4k resolution, but it is not guarateed you will get a lot more fps (10% in my predictions). Some games still won't run on ultra settings @4k with just 1 gpu (fps will crumble to 30fps or lower). 5.You will have to wait for an additional month after release for new aftermarket models (MSI, Evga, Asus, etc). Even if there were cards to grab only after 2 weeks it's better to let others test them first and later pick best model. Do you think you could record any fine footage with your pc before the new card will be released, or can you wait? Is selling your 980ti for ~150$ less and buying new pascal hbm2 later when it releases (or better high end model in 1 year, but 980ti selling price might drop even lower by that time) not an option? In previous generation of ddr3 the sweet spot was 2400mhz cas10-11. I have not seen real world benchmarks for ddr4 yet. I guess it comes down to, if you want to save money on ddr or not necessarily. Ram is very easy to replace, but if you have overclocked cpu you will have to reset and oc it again. I'm fine with buying a new one later I guess. I mean my PC now can record Xbox one footage fine but it struggles running skyrim with lots of mods. I think I'll go ahead and get my system at the end of the year and just buy the new card whenever a good one comes out. And for the ram I guess I'll go with what I picked out first because I'd rather be safe than sorry, and end up buying another one later if I need to. So I guess my setup is pretty much all good to go now, except I'm still not sure on a case.
  17. So should I go with this over the dominator? http://pcpartpicker.com/p/tz62yc And yes I will be having someone else put my setup together that is MUCH more knowledgable. As for waiting for the new card or whatever, I could wait but my setup right now really kinda sucks, can't even run realvision enb well and it's pretty slow in general. I was hoping to buy my new setup aroind Christmas cause I should have the cash around then but if it's kinda a waste with the new card coming out I guess I could wait longer. Could I buy this setup at the end of the year then buy the new card and replace my old one once it comes out?
  18. Ok so I think I'm done picking out most all the parts. Here it is: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/tz62yc Does anyone have any other concerns or reccomendations? And I'm also not sure if the case I'm getting is good, I am spending so much on the rest of the PC I don't really want to spend a lot on the case but I still want a good case, looks aren't that important to me but if anyone has a suggestion for one.
  19. Ok you convinced me to go with a 1tb ssd it sounds like a good investment. But now I have a 1tb regular hard drive and a 1tb ssd. There's no way I could ever need 2tb so should I drop on the regular hard drive to like 500gb or something like that? I still will make sure it has 10k rpm tho.
  20. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solid-state_drive An SSD will decrease loading times and therefor is recommended. The rest of your setup is absolutely killer! The power supply may be a little bit oversized but it won't hurt. You just can save money if you go for a PSU that gives you 680-800W. So you think that I could run basically any graphics mods +about 100-200 other mods setup on skyrim or fallout when it comes out and still have good gameplay like fps and not a lot of lag and pretty good loading times? Skyrim is based on old engine that has it's own limitations. Still with this pc build you will be able to pull a lot. Check Hodilton Enb showcases on youtube. He has bought gtx 980 ti recently and turns on fps meter in combat at the end of his vids. That should give you an rough idea what to expect. If you plan on recording gameplay and saving it on your drive in real time, you should get second drive for video storage. This way you won't slow down your primary drive with windows and skyrim. Do you plan on editing vids and photos in huge quantities everyday? If not then cheaper Samsung 850 Evo will do. Pro is a version for people working in the industry, who would worn out their drives much sooner due to amount of work they do daily. I would go with ~800w psu for 1 gpu card stup. It gives you a lot headroom for any future upgrades and overclocking. Go for 1000w only if you are set on buying second or third card for sli setup in next few years. Yes, I have MSI Gaming gtx 980 ti and it works flawlessly. PS: Where are you going to mount your corsair fans? If the case has 140mm mounting go with 140mm fans, they will push same amount of air at lower rpm = less noise. Also there is a difference between airflow and high pressure fan models. High pressure is best for spots next to hd cages, radiators or other tight spaces. Airflow fans will spread cool air all over the pc case, but are not recommended for places where high pressure is needed. I'm going to stick with the pro because I will be recording basically the whole time I'm playing. As well as a lot of Xbox one recording too. How does the two drives work? Like should I have more memory on my western digital or my ssd? Which one will all my stuff be stored on? Cause I have 1tb in the western digital and like 500 in the ssd but if everything will be on the ssd I'll want more gb on it than the western digital. Could you explain how this works?I see what your saying about the wattage but it's not a whole lot more going for 1k. Do you think there's pretty much no chance of me needing that much and I should go with the 800 one instead? Are there any benefits besides more room of going lower? And I changed to a 140m corsair quiet fan for the case fan. Thanks for all your help
