Switch
According to this, it was just the usual rumour-mongering attention seeking. Which is a shame, because I still really dislike that silly name. ^^; I haven't got used to it, and I still think it's ridiculous. Ah well, I'm not going to buy one anyway. hybrid_snyper
(<_< i dont alwase read the last post date so sorry if rezed this thread) but wii wand? ah i cheked it an attachment that makes the wiimote into a wizards wand im still standing by, the Wii is a glorified gamecube, reselling an old product with a new skin and new perhiperal. The fact that they are releasing the new zelda on Wii and gamecube on the same day supports this. They could of simply released the wand and a network adapter for the gamecube and more than likely all the Wii games would play the same. Im stick of the Wii and all the hype its getting its nowt special, innovation, pah, i have a mouse that lets me interact with objects on screen the only difference being i dont have to look like an idiot jumping around (because of this i have stopped using my eyetoy  ). OutHS Having tried it at Makuhari Messe can say its nothing like a glorified Game Cube...if you dont want one you dont have to buy one .But dont make claims of knowledge based on ignorance.Try it then make your all knowledgable criticisms. I was a bit tired the other night when i posted. What i was trying to say was, it seems there is alot of excitement surrounding the new zelda and from what ive seen the only differnce between the two versions is that the Wii has this little fairy thing flying about and you can go fishing (just like that dreamcast game, bass fishing or something). The majority of us haven't been as fortuante as yourself to have been able to play with a Wii but i'd bet 99% of consumers haven't played with one either, so in the mean time all we have are opinions based on what nintendo lets us see and hear, unfortunatly i dont like what i've seen or heard. Peregrine
And yep, looks like my initial reaction to the console is still true... I guess I'll have to change the logo on the win button though, now that they've changed the name. http://www.habasanfleet.com/purepwnage.png

The name"revolution" would be near impossible to pronounce in japanese.[ Peregrine you crack me up lol I second :) The wii is either going to be a huge sucess or a a total flop. In a way, you can't blame nintendo for trying this. After all, they pretty much have been left in the dust by sony and microsoft, so they more or less have to try something different. By marketing to casual gamers/ nongamers they hope to capitalize on a market not yet signifigantly tapped by the video game industry. However, I remain highly skeptical that something like this could work. They essentially are trying to reinvent the wheel by creating this perverted remote. Nevertheless, I will give it a fair shot, if only by being a old-school nintendo geek. Nintendo has pulled itself out of the dust before, so there is a chance that they can do it again. karkarinus
The big N could so easily go the same way as Sega. I too am an all-time Nintendo fan, but I feel they are losing their touch. Their weakspot is the games - whereas their good games are some of the best in the world, (Zelda, Perfect Dark, Mario etc) they fall by the wayside by not having enough, and taking too darn long to bring out those awaited" ones. Do they honestly think adult gamers can wait years between games while they bring out reams of kids games? I will most likely "have a Wii" (if you'll pardon the pun) but I'll be waiting to see how it goes first.
