Themisive
I want to write a set of books and/or scrolls via the Oblivion CS. Partly they will be initially for a mod I am at present writing, but I want to see what they look like, and I may well post them onto the TESNexus site so others can add them to their mods as they wish. The problem arises though as to how big they can be and still be legible. I do know that there are some size restraints on scrolls, but if there are any for books, I don't know of them. It's not for the want of trying either, I spent a good portion of the afternoon trying to find details on Wikipedia abut them without success. As far as my other mod is progressing, I have already decided to split it into two separate mods, This is for convenience of others. I do hope that someone out there can help with this, and another problem is the abbreviated html code that is used in the books, does anyone have an idea about that? Maigrets
I've written some quite lengthy in game books for a few of my mods, and I'm not sure there is a limit. If there is I haven't reached it. However, you might want to give this utility a try. It'll do all of the HTML coding for you plus a heap of other things.Oblivion Book Creatorhttp://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=29124 I have it installed but haven't gotten around to trying it yet. I've done the HTML coding manually though. It's not too hard, just time consuming. I assume you've read about books and how to create them on the CS Wiki? There are other links at the bottom of the page.http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Book_Formatting

As for the wiki items, please don't get me wrong, I DO know that all the information is in there somewhere. The key word is somewhere. As to the files being helpful, I do know people who swear by them and others - like me who can't spend days searching for one item.
Themisive
Hi just a thought, where are the icons stored - I know they are in the Textures BSA file, but for the life on me, though I have found the Menu 50 and Menu 80 icon files, every time I try to add an icon to the book I have just made I get a message saying "invalid directory". Any idea what's going on here? I decided to just make a short book to give me an idea on how the creator works, and otherwise it seems to work great. You are definitely getting a File of the Month vote as well as an endorsement for the file!
