Hyacathusarullistad Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 (edited) I started a new game today on a fresh install. I was hoping to use Duel Wield Parrying for a battlemage character, so I wanted to map the left mouse key to DWP's block feature and the left hand to the \' key. While trying to set the Left Hand key through the game's default Controls menu, it wouldn't let me map the left hand button to anything apart from the mouse buttons. If I tried anything else it said the key was reserved. I went to DWP's menu to try changing the button there, and it let me use the left mouse key as a block button. Now when I go into the game's Controls menu, the option for Left Hand simply doesn't exist anymore. The line has vanished from the menu, and deleting the .ini files and letting the game create fresh ones hasn't restored it. I changed the block key to something else, and turned off DWP; still isn't there. Starting a new save with default .ini files doesn't restore the option either. The only other mods I have that have anything to do with keybindings are More Hotkeys Please, A Matter of Time, and Functional Bags (which I haven't set keys for yet because I don't have any of its storage items yet). I also have Realistic Water Two, which adds elements to the existing game config menus but has never caused an issue like this before. Edited August 3, 2014 by Hyacathusarullistad
gamefever Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 (edited) Control_Map Customization.ini or maybe its config. Should be in the Skyrim base folder. Might want to just toss the files in there after backing them up and then run a validate files vai Steam to get them back fresh. Hope that helps u avoid reinstall, If you gotta reinstall Back up your ESM's they are huge files, back those up and try just putting a copy into the data folder and running validate rather than reinstall That should speed up your reinstall procedure by a far clip. Edit Now for remapping I was going to suggest more keys please, But other than that I think you want a 3rd party app if your going to remap something like the mouse while playing skyrim...I seem to remember looking around for a way to remap keys about 3 years ago, and I couldn't find anything I liked.... good luck.
