FOSE, GFWL, and achievements

Hey Nexus.

Wonderful community and phenomenal mods here, I must say.

I have a problem, and I'm hoping you guys can help me out here. It involves FOSE, GFWL, and achievements.

I have FOSE installed, along with quite a few mods and such, as you do - And I love it. I had Broken Steel, Point Lookout, and Operation Anchorage, and all the achievements apart from "Find 100 Locations", because I had used the reveal all command (since I already did everything on the 360 version, you see).

Now, as you know, FOSE stops GWFL (which is a good side effect), but I just got my hands on the GOTY DLC disk and installed Mothership Zeta and The Pitt. While I'm more than happy just playing them, I'd also like the achievements. "Easy", I thought. "I'll just backup and delete FOSE from the F3 folder, go through the DLCs and get the achievements, and then kick FOSE back on and enjoy the full experience."

Turns out I was wrong. FOSE erased from the folder, FOSE-dependent mods turned off (as far as I know only RTS is FOSE-dependent on my list), and GFWL still doesn't open upon loading. Clicking Home does nothing, and clicking on LIVE on the main menu doesn't do anything apart from shade out the rest.

So, Nexus folk, can anyone help me out here? How can I get GFWL back? I bet none of you expect to ever read that, I know I didn't.

Thanks in advance.

Make sure that you removed fose entirely. Have a look into the Fallout 3 folder and compare the files with the downloaded FOSE-pagage. Also disable all fake dll that might be active because you use FOMM or sth like that. And reinstalling the latest GfWL-Client can't hurt.

I have the steam version, but when using FOMM and FOSE installed it doesnt need steam running to play the game. So i just used FOMM to turn all the mods off, then i closed that and started the game up through the normal launch pad, then i just used the console to give myself all the achievments. Turned all the mods back on and started the game back up using FOMM and FOSE.

Doesn't apply here, since I can't get GFWL to work post-FOSE. I want to earn the achievements, but I can't get them without GFWL being active, which it isn't.

There's a mod that allows you to collect achievements while FOSE is running and then transfer them to a GFWL profile. Try doing a search on nexus.

Already looked into it. It only works with vanilla F3, and would require GFWL to work in the first place, which it doesn't in-game. :(
