TQWorld
This is a 2 part question: There are a ton of sweet armor mods out there and I am wanting to do some housecleaning. 1. Let's say that I've got a glass armor mod and a sun armor mod. Is there a way to combine these two mods into, say, a "glass and sun armor mod" which will be one esp file containing all armors from the glass esp and all armors from the sun armor esp? I've seen that TES5edit can combine some mods but there are certain "watch-outs" when combing mods with this tool. Aside from TES5edit, is there another capable method of combining the two? 2. Combining mods that require and replace another mod. For example, I like the Silver Light armor. I also like the Silver Night armor. The problem is, you can only have one because the Silver Night armor replaces the Silver Light armor. In-game, the Silver Night armor is listed as Silver Light. Is there anyway of either combining them into a single esp to allow both to be available in-game or perhaps a modification that can be done to possibly rename the latter and have access to both armors in-game? There are other examples as well, such as Tera armor. There are several body style variants of this great armor package but if you add some of these body style adaptations, then it removes the original from being accessible because it "overwrites" the original armor. I have various followers using different body styles and I would like them to be able to use Tera armors, but since the body-styled Tera armor mods replace the original, it's not possible without the unsightly impacts when applying an armor for 1 body type when the follower is a different body type. I believe a good example of what I am seeking is the remodeled version of Tera armor. It has the Tera armors that the author has remodeled and you have access to both the original as well as the remodeled versions of the armor (in-game the remodeled versions share the same name as the original but have the added title of "- remodeled" at the end). Thanks for any insights on this.
Deleted1308005User
Search with "Mod merging" on forums, you'll find some topics. It is possible, though risky. second question is too hard to comprehend. http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Merging_Pluginsthere's also some sort of post about merging. Novem99
There is nothing risky about merging armor mods! It is said that it can cause problems when merging mods that contain edited "cells" or "worldspace" but most armor/weapon mods don't contain edited cells/worldspaces and even then you can easily delete theses entries with TES5Edit without destroying the whole mod. You can combine mods that would normally replace each other and make use of them. You just have to edit the "rivaling" edits with the Creation Kit. Mattiewagg
This tutorial could be helpful to you regarding mod merging. The one linked before should also work though.
Deleted1308005User
Mm.. Might have been issue with previous version. No matter what I tried, when I combined armor mods and tried to remove "unnecessary" data, it became unstable and uneditable in CK
Ceruulean
There's a ted5edit script to make it easier: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/37981/?
