AssAssin40k
I have a high end computer with 16gb of RAM and yet I still crash Skyrim after a while due to running out of memory, even with the patch that lets Skyrim use 4gb of it. Is there a way to help this issue?
Deleted31005User
Maybe there are more advanced things now that I am not aware of, but I will copy a piece of text that I put on my mods, maybe it can help you: Quote Having issues with infinite loading screens, CTD and stuttering?1. For the love of God, don't put your UGrids higher then the standard 5 or it will eat away your memory2. Get Skyrim Script Extender (NOT the alpha build, take Current build 1.6.16)http://skse.silverlock.org/You NEED this or otherwise the following will not work.3. Get Memory Blocks Loghttp://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50471/?You can check the exact amount of memory being used with this.4. Get SSME - Skyrim Startup Memory Editorhttp://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50305/?This will allocate more memory to the first 256MB memory block, I have mine set on 512MB which is done automatically upon installing this mod.And here is a video explaining it all in detail: 5. Check your texture mods, too many HD textures will also eat your memory.
