Hated Aries
First of all, I'd like to say sorry for the vague title, but it's the best I could do considering I need a lot of help. I recently re-installed Oblivion after deleting everything from it. I did this because of this. Being at an apparent loss here, I, as I said, deleted everything. So, after re-installing Oblivion, I decided I should get some more experience help rather than trying to learn myself, how to install mods. So, the main point is that I'd like to know where to put the mods, what to do if I'm confused, or even what order to install them in. The mods are:OOO (Which ran fine before)Reznod's MannequinsGates to Aesgaard Episode One and Episode Two (Had some minor freezing issues)Integration (And all mods required to run it) (Ran fine, as far as I could tell)Unnecessary Violence (And all mods required to run it) (Had no effect on the game when installed)Ruined Tail's Tale (Had some minor freezing issues)Kvatch Rebuilt (Wouldn't even let my game start when checked in the Data Files options) Any and all help is greatly appreciated. bben46
Reinstalling because of red entries in the OBMM conflict list was a waste of time. EVERY mod will cause a red entry there. Because EVERY mod changes something, and that is all that list is telling you. Something was changed. Just because something was changed it does not mean something bad. Most changes are what the mod did on purpose That'e what mods (modifications) do, they change things. Probably over 95% of the red entries will not cause any problems at all. If the game still plays, and the mod does what it was supposed to do that is not a problem. If you deleted everything, did you remember to reinstall OBMM, OBSE and the latest patch? Here are some links that might helpLink to Bben's Mod Advicehttp://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=342. Hated Aries
I haven't installed anything yet. I wasn't aware that OBMM only showed what was changed, and I had already planned on deleting all of the mods, regardless. Thanks for the links, I'll check those out. nosisab
need help on heart of the dead on quest one cave door wont open after i wated till 12am and 12 pm any ideas ( winterwolf01)Please open a new thread with that specifics, that increases the chances of someone seeing it and actually answer. Sorry I can't in that case. Most are not done on purpose and that seems to be the case, just notice introducing new unrelated questions at someone's thread is what is called hijacking it. That's the reason you was directed (with reason) toward tutorials. A mod can have special needs what make reading their docs a "must", always. Although most mods will install at /data, a few will not, those normally falls in the Utility category. About the load order, it's really a serious concern. The general guideline is looking at what the mod does and where it does. For example, if two mods changes things in Anvil and boundaries, they are prone to create issues and the order they are installed can become more important than the order they are loaded. I mean it, changing the load order after the installation can mask and yet worsen the problem in the long term. About the game failing to load or start this soon is almost always related to lacking of needed ESM. PS: that came while replying: Alright, I'm currently om Part 3 of Sam's link. I've done everything it's told me so far, but I can't find the "Oblivion\Data\OBSE\Plugins" folder. That folder is not default and may really be lacking, it is for OBSE plugins and needed only if you actually installs these plugins (like Pluggy as example), other way you don't need it and need not concern with it. Hated Aries
Sorry, guys, but I give up. My Oblivion folder is a complete mess right now. I'm definitely doing something wrong, though I can't place where. I'm restoring my Oblivion again. If any of you would like to continue helping, I'd really appreciate doing it over IMs, because I'm prone to asking a lot of questions. Thanks for all the help so far, though.
