DarkVVolfV Posted May 1, 2010 Share Posted May 1, 2010 hi all im having some problems applying the texture to the mesh when i use choose the right mesh nothing comes up on the mesh or it just goes darker or changes to a different shade im not sure why im applying it properly, from the material list it should be going on and im not sure why i got the full texture using roadkill and have tried many times now to apply it to the mesh, please help thanks DarkWolf V Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Dyadya_Fedor Posted May 1, 2010 Share Posted May 1, 2010 If you sure what your material is correct and have all textures (should be visible in sample slot) then, maybe, problem in max settings, propably Menu->Views->Global Viewport Rendering Setting. DarkVVolfV Posted May 2, 2010 Author Share Posted May 2, 2010 no, theres nothing wrong with the render settings, i can see the effect its just not the right effect, eg: the model goes darker, which is not part of the texture and other strange looks to the model that arent the mesh Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Ghogiel Posted May 3, 2010 Share Posted May 3, 2010 Simply drag and drop your material from the material editor onto your mesh in the viewport. in the mat editor, make sure you have 'show map in viewport' enabled< the button that looks like checkered square. I dunno why that is off by default, 99% of the time I am enabling it. :S thats what ive been doing the whole time, a friend of mine got it working in poser, but its just not working for max and i dont want to have to get another program , as im unfamiliar with it, im trying to get it working in nif scope, but im not sure how to set it so that i can see the texture in nifskope edit: got it working in nifskope dont worry, thanks anyway guys edit: i found the problem, it was applying the texture in max at 46.0 and is supposed to be only applying the texture at 1.0 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
