Taoutes
Hey, I just need a small little amount of help with FOSE. I just installed FOSE and have a mod that requires it. I want to use my save game from before FOSE was installed, but the directions for doing this are a little sketchy in the FOSE readme. The readme says. and I quote; "There should be a folder inside for each profile - just move the contents out in to the Saves folder and relaunch Fallout." WTF does out in to the saves folder mean? I am not sure what to do, if I put it into Fallout3 data folder and make saves, or into the same area of the save folder, just not in the folder, or what? I thought at first it was just a typo, Meaning: just move the contents out of the saves folder and relaunch Fallout. I am not sure where to move the saves to. Anybody know how to do this, or does anybody know where to move the saves to? That would be a lot of help to me and I would be indebted to you for 5 minutes. lol. Rabbit1251
I would be indebted to you for 5 minutes. 5 minutes, huh? That's better than I usually get offered. So all that you need to do is move the fose_loader.exe and all of the .dll's from the zipped FOSE file into your Fallout 3 directory wherever you have it installed (it will be where your Fallout3.exe can be found). Then launch your game with fose_loader.exe instead of the Fallout3.exe. Nothing more needs to be done. If you use a shortcut to launch your game be sure to change it to reflect the new loader. That should do it. Rabbit
phoneyLogic
The readme says. and I quote; "There should be a folder inside for each profile - just move the contents out in to the Saves folder and relaunch Fallout. This only means that there are two locations where save games are being stored which depends on how you are playing, on-line or off-line: off-line: <Start Menu> \ Documents \ My Games \ Fallout3 \ Saves \on-line: <Start Manu> \ Documents \ My Games \ Fallout3 \ Saves \ Your Live Name \ ---If you install FOSE, GfWL will be disabled and you cant play on-line any longer. So you'll have to copy your save games from<Start Manu> \ Documents \ My Games \ Fallout3 \ Saves \ Your Live Name \into<Start Menu> \ Documents \ My Games \ Fallout3 \ Saves \which is the said "save game folder", one step above. It's k though, because Tomato, my bestest buddy ever, helped me out, AGAIN. Hopefully this works, but if it doesn't, I may have to run around the wasteland going `killall enter ` killall enter. Thus wiping out the entire populace of the capital wasteland.
