stamstamstam
Hello, Before starting this topic, I've been looking for a solution for a long while.I followed different "tutorials" in order to make SKSE work along with Mod Organizer, but every time I use SKSE through Mod Organizer, the game CTD on launch. I have the latest versions of both programs, no mods activated, the game works fine when using skyrim launcher/skrim exe through Mod Organizer.Of course I copied .exe and .dll in the main skyrim folder, and archived the scripts in a new .rar that was added to mod organizer. But what the hell? Nothing works. When using SKSE WITHOUT Mod organizer, I mean copying the files the regular way, it works. It's clearly the combination of both programs that doesn't work. And I can't use my mods if I don't use Mod Organizer to start the game. Please help me, it's getting very frustrating. DinckelMan
Just drop SKSE in the Skyrim folder and run it from MO. You dont need to do anything else
bojanni
The only thing I copied directly into the Skyrim folder were the scripts and files from SKSE. So I got curious by your question and just deleted the scripts from the Skyrim folder and create a .rar file (data/scripts) and installed it through Mod Organizer. No problems, Skyrim just starts and mods work when launching with the SKSE launcher.
stamstamstam
Dinckelman: What do you mean? Just the exe + dlls or the whole archive including scripts in the data folder? Bojanni: Yes to everything, I only have the problem using both programs together. You didn't copy the exe + dll in the skyrim folder? EDIT: I have literally 0 mod activated, only the official DLCs, it keeps crashing over and over.Even desactivating all of them won't change anything. It's clearly SKSE. bojanni
Yes, I copied everything in the Skyrim folder, and just removed the scripts just now and moved them to MO. Is your game installed in c:\program files (x86) etc... There could be some authorization issues when Skyrim is installed in this folder

bojanni
Well it can be, because of the way Mod Organizer works (through virtual folders), so where is your Skyrim installed?
stamstamstam
Steam apps in program files x86.
bojanni
Yeah, so that could be the issue. Try running MO as administrator.
