Aranas23
The strangest thing happened post-landsmeet. I am a male gray warden, yet after the landsmeet, he started the dialogue as if I was a female love interest. This was after I had hardened him and made him the sole king... Now, I'm not sure if this is caused by a mod or if this is a glitch in the base game, cause I'm supposed to have a few mods that patch Alistairs' dialogue, like Dialogue Tweaks, Endgame Dialogue and Epilogue Slide Fixes and Alistair dialog patch. Has anyone else ran into this by chance?
nosisab
It's supposed to be this way. The game supports homosexual relations for both, males and females. Albeit being easy to avoid that (it's enough let clear you don't want such thing) some people may find the whole mess 'immoral'.
Aranas23
Wait, you can't have a male relationship with Alistair. You can only have relationships with Leliana, Morrigan and Zevran if you're a man. =/
nosisab
You may be right, yet the same thing happened to me for being a bit nice to him, what forced me to let clear I was not getting it. So I really don't know the extent that relation can get. Still I don't think Alistair as gay, he is more that is now known as emo. He had a complicated boyhood, he saw in Duncan a hero and a model and really loved him as a father and at that point he is very very vulnerable. The PC at the point the case occurs is becoming another crosspoint in his complex life. Now, letting the game aside for the while, that is a situation which may occurs in real life, what emerges from this may influence real people, momentarily of for the lifespan. One shouldn't think such things so simple, not even a tendency. sometimes in our lives we may be too much vulnerably to whatever road that forks ahead and not only sexual decisions but whichever choices are posed to us. It's more about "becomes" than "is", and even "becomes" is not granted and can be just "happens". The reason I'm replying to that post is to say: To me the homosexual is far from being a determining factor in judging a person character. It's the same for everything, from sexual tendencies, religions, skin color... When someone favors or shuns based solely on this, the real problem may be in the own side. PS: bigotry is the real problem. Even that is not simple to tag, it's said the evil has the ability to look more good than the own good, because it can pretend itself good, while the good can't pretend be evil and still be seen so. Aranas23
Umm.... Right. I just called it Gay Alistair cause I thought at the time that it was witty, given the oddity of the glitch... I could care less what your opinions on homosexuality are. But given your choice in sentence structure, I'm going to assume you're just tired... or something. =/
