tgpardu
Can you give stuff to companions, to make your little merry retinue a bit more fearsome? I've finished just about everything in the game, and now I have a couple of mages, fighters, thieves, and assassins following me around. Sort of trying to pull of the Inquisitor Eisenhorn gig :teehee: I also have hordes of magic crap that I haven't sold, because I have all the money in Cyrodill. Isn't there a way to GIVE stuff to one of my companions and actually have them use it? I tried reverse pick pocketing, which didn't work and just pissed of the companion... Fell free to direct me to an older thread, if it's been beat to death before. THANKS!!! yeldarb
What companion mod are you using? The KOTN, DB, and Mage apprentice companions in Oblivion just have simple order commands Follow, wait, etc. You have to live with what the game assigns them. CM /Companion Share and Recruit based companions should have a share or inventory command that comes up during dialogue. Most modded Partners have a similiar command system. I've only been playing vanilla companions. I was able to get fighters from the guild to follow me, also. I've loaded a few mods, but haven't played with any of them, yet, and non are companion mods. Are there any specific mods, off the Nexus list, you would recommend?
LFact
For PC, you can use 'Activate Inventory Spell' to access any actor's inventory. However, since DB assassin followers and Arcane University mage apprentices are respawning NPCs, you will lose any item you gave when their inventory/AI/everything resets. tgpardu
I actually got a DB to pick something up by just dropping it on the ground, a majic dagger and some boots. It was really fun to seclude him in a room with me, so no other NPCs were around, drop the item, and then just sit and watch for an hour and a hald (real time) waiting on the *censored* to pick them up. :verymad:
yeldarb
I recommend Oblivion Mod Manager(obmm)php.id 2027- OMOD's are easy to install and are also easy to de-activate. I enjoy Unique Landscapes (available as an OMOD), Slofs Horse Replacer( makes the horses in the game more unique) Better Amelion Gear php.id 5128- changes the wieghts of Brusefs Amelion's armor from the Fighters guild quests and improves the sword I dont have the id's for Unique Landscapes and Slofs horse replacer on my desktop. I will reccomend reading all of the comments/endorsements before downloading a file.
Netwit2008
I have several companions that do not require CM or CSR. I usually make them over as soon as I get them with new clothes, armors, weapons, wigs, jewelry, etc. They are all pretty good, and all except Sierra are set to essential, meaning they can't be killed. I have quite a bit of fun, seeing how different I can make them look. I recommend these below. For each one, except Red Sonia, I have screenies posted so you can take a look a the changes I've been able to make. Neeshka by Rsdnt-Evlehttp://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8256 Companion Keric by MrUniqhttp://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5793 Stoker Wolff-Male Companion Only (there is also a larger quest version) by SultericDrumshttp://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=17743 Astrianna-Montana's Sexy Companion II by MontanaBlueSkies (she does naughty things, lol)http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=21476 Companion Shard and Skar (a warrior woman and her pet wolf, I gave lots of feedback on her thread, she's antisocial, lol) by Mr. Uniqhttp://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5479 Rhianna Redux (although after awhile she will not follow commands to go with you) by Jumonjihttp://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15841 Companion Thelias by MrUniqhttp://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5648 Red Sonia-Special Edition by ThePriest909http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=13017 Companion Alandria by MrUniqhttp://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5722 Companion Vilja-(voice acted by her author with over 1500 lines of new dialogue!) by Emmahttp://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=28977 Sierra from SamLake's Oblivion Collectible Cards Mod can become a companion, although she is not set to essential. Still does well and can take care of herself. The only thing with her, is when you "share loot" meaning give her things, she strips down naked. It takes going thru several doors for her to re-equip her stuff. Still a great companion. Plus you get great cards to collect and some quests with this mod.http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=19140 I have each of them living in different houses, mostly house or castle mods. These are versatile companions that are good fighters and it is fun, as I say, to dress them up. I recommend Apachii Goddess and Apachii Heroes stores for clothes, along with Tona Clothing mod. I use a mod called Ring of Companionship by Logintodownload (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=18461) to make sure they are all kept as companions in my circle. I think you'd be more than happy with any of these. I hope that helps!

Netwit2008
Wow Netwit you have so many companions. I know, lol Guess it's my way of adding variety to the NPCs as well as having a circle of folks I know and can hang with. I use them in videos too, so it's quite a bit of fun.
foodpoacher
The Companion Gabrielle (Gabby) I personally think is the best for equiping things to. She will take any thing that you give her, and her inventory is easy to access.
